1. install a torrent client, I recommend qbittorrent
2. find torrents, I use 1337x.to and nyaa.si, make sure that you use ublock origin so that you don't get ads, and make sure to take a look at the comments of the torrent you are using
3. either download the torrent file and run it, or click on the magnet button which will open the torrent directly in your client
4. select where you want the downloaded file to be and select what files you want to download from the torrent
5. wait and then enjoy
addendum: use a vpn if your country has serious copyright laws like in the us

well to be more precise adblockers like ublock block malware sites that impersonate original sites to make you download malware.
but I have also seen cases where you'd search for msi afterburner for example and get an ad for msi afterburner in google search as the top result, the top result which is an ad was not the real program so people easily got viruses on their devices

I don't use vpn as I am in what is allegedly a "third world shithole" so I can't recommend any.
those steps should work on any os that has a gui, so it doesn't matter if you are on windows linux or mac
