AI. We have to put AI everywhere.
Did you hear about AI?
Can't fall behind.
AI.
How can we leverage AI in our MVP going forward in the next quarter to extract maximal value for our key stakeholders?
Browsing, with AI.
Hear me out, check this: It's a web browser, with an artificial intelligence browsing assistant.
Get rid of bookmarks.
Totally rid of them.
Gone.
No bookmarks.
Instead, AI.
"Pawz: book me a flight to Furcon next week. Business class, aisle seat (I like to sniff people as they squeeze past)"
Pawz: Absolutely, here are some results from Google. >several second delay
Pawz: Would you like me to read them? >Pawz is the name of Mozilla AI. Get it? Because they're homosexuals and they all have aids.
By AI they mean making a few small shitty ethical, open source solutions for things like accessibility and complaining about how unethical and nontransparent other AIs are.
If mozilla dies, chrome will end up beeing the only browser available for windows (since everything is based on chromium) and google will takes serious fines in the US. That's why google is desesperately funding mozilla, like microsoft did with apple in the past.
There's pocket, which at the moment of acquisaition was nothing more than server-side readability.js + server-side bookmarks and notes but mozilla added social news aggregator features to it (client-side read-it-later addon was always superior)
And there's a VPN service (not available in my country so idk)

Mozilla will also shut down Hubs, the 3D virtual world it launched back in 2018, and scale back its investment in its mozilla.social Mastodon instance. The layoffs will affect roughly 60 employees. Bloomberg previously reported the layoffs.
No one uses them. >scale back its investment in its mozilla.social Mastodon instance
Unfortunate. There are plenty so it's not a big issue for the network itself though. I guess most people stick to X or Threads and I'm not sure whether that's a good or bad thing.
I'm sure 99% of Firefox users are just boomers who use it out of inertia. We don't know or care what Mozilla does.
The only thing that gets us to stop using Firefox is webpages not working properly.
Yeah boomers use brave at this point because they fall for marketing hype incredibly easily. Firefox is basically only surviving off schizos and people who are using it out of pure spite for chrome. I actually sincerely believe firefox is superior to all other browsers though, it has a lot of genuinely good features, most are legacy at this point though since the modern management has done their best to sabotage and cripple everything they can.
The only browser I've used that I can say I actually thought was good has been vivaldi, but it's closed source so
Firefox has been getting really popular in the leftist """activist""" circles on tumblr/twitter. Hoping all this will snap them out of it and they can start using a real browser.
They might have still had enough money to pay the developers if the CEO hadn't given herself a pay rise because "male CEOs of other companies have higher salaries and that's sexist"
You don't want all these zoomer influencers telling their millions of followers "ugh this product doesn't even have AI and it's 2024 guys can you believe that??".
>Chromiums is fricked due to manifesto >Firefox and forks are fricked due to AIshit
Well? Which browser are you supposed to use now, cucks? I told you having only two options is a shaky position to be in. You people are such a delusional homosexuals.
Write. A new. Fricking. Browser.
As far as i know mozilla plans on creating a series of neural network for improving accessibility for impaired people. The first one they are adding is a small image recognition Ai that will run locally and provide text descriptions for images that don't have them. BtW text descriptions for images in this use case is a HTML standard called Alt Text, but barely anyone uses is properly.
The only ai shit I've seen from Mozilla is some locally run alt text generator for media. It's this surgery outragebait thread or is there anything actually going on?
I will ALWAYS use Firefox with a custom user.js and ubo and I'm NEVER going to use vivaldi or brave or chrome or anything else and there's NOTHING can say that will change my mind.
hopefully they fire the CIS white male developers, so this browser becomes unusable even on loonix
Just download Vivaldi, get some work done, and move on with your life.
SPBP. Did this a month ago and don't want to go back. Firefox now looks and feels like some meme school project in front of it.

spoonfeed it then homosexual
also have trashgpt summarize it first, not reading more than one paragraph
Can Mozilla die already? I want devs to focus on finally making a good Chromium browser.
stop sucking Google's dick
missed upportunity to call it SaarS (Shitposting as a respectful Service)
You mean redeemed.
>picture clearly shows a sandBlack person

Tell me you're american, without telling me you're american
Good morning, saar!
Saar please do the needful
Saar you should not be posting on IQfy you bloody
Saar the only difference between pakistan and india is the religion.
Why is IQfy suddenly so racist?
>suddenly
it's the white colonialists i swear fricking AfD
I feel that on a spiritual level
Imagine what would happen if Tor would have to rebase on chromium. Literally perfect browser.
It'll never happen because Chromium is pozzed
But my tab rows
If mozilla dies, chrome will end up beeing the only browser available for windows (since everything is based on chromium) and google will takes serious fines in the US. That's why google is desesperately funding mozilla, like microsoft did with apple in the past.
The only other mozilla product I can think of is thunderbird.
There's pocket, which at the moment of acquisaition was nothing more than server-side readability.js + server-side bookmarks and notes but mozilla added social news aggregator features to it (client-side read-it-later addon was always superior)
And there's a VPN service (not available in my country so idk)
Why would I have a problem with this? Firefox is all that matters.
Yesterday I sandboxed firefox, today I'm considering installing different browser because now that I have a sandbox I don't need trust.

She'll give you a bald head.
I will take it.
Why are they like this?
I would the baldie though.
>I would the baldie though.
Why are you like this?
I would cum only in the green-blue part though.
>Firefox and AI
that's what I always wanted, a DEI hire embedded in my web browser!
Is this the final nail in the firefox coffin?
Too many subsidies to fail.
I'm sure 99% of Firefox users are just boomers who use it out of inertia. We don't know or care what Mozilla does.

A good amount of firefox users are schizos like me who would drop it if it compromised to heavily on privacy .

Im Brave user and im not afraid of fox.
I miss Camino.

In the future, browsers will be replaces by directly connecting to webassembly virtual machines. Get over it, gramps.
>cut out all the buggy high level bullshit browsers need to implement
That would unironically be an improvement.
Mixed feelings.
Focusing on AI is bad, but focusing on Firefox is good. Cutting off the dead weight is also good.
I actually use firefox relay. please don't tell me it'll get the google treatment
OP is a homosexual doesn't give source
I love chromium!
troonyware + anti-free speech
Killing Firefox and mozilla now would do justice.
Why does a browser company need "AI"? Normally I'd say to get VC bux, but if that was the case, they wouldn't need to downsize.
Others will have AI too, and morons will just say "but Firefox doesn't have AI".
I hope all the privacy infringment, code of conduct and woke bullshit work out well for them. great company! (to go bankrupt)
You don't want all these zoomer influencers telling their millions of followers "ugh this product doesn't even have AI and it's 2024 guys can you believe that??".

Just use a fork of firefox that doesn't incorporate all the bloat and AIslop (read: librewolf)
>Muh forks
Fricking troony moron
You just want to be mad.
What happened to that ladybug or ladybird or whatever it was browser that was in production?

Always assume ragebait. But it doesn't matter. Most people are only here to shitpost.
if it's not ragebait just use fricking librewolf it's firefox without bloat (i use arch btw)
I will ALWAYS use Firefox with a custom user.js and ubo and I'm NEVER going to use vivaldi or brave or chrome or anything else and there's NOTHING can say that will change my mind.
