it runs off a pci slot without extra power meaning you can stick it in your dogshit dell you stole out of a middle school dumpster and now you can play games

I'm sure the cost of living where you're at is a nightmare, and buying a GPU is the least of your worries

This really doesn't affect people making that much money. High CoL is mostly just about housing being expensive, but even if he pays 4k/month on that he's still got 5k worth of funko pops.

Housing is a significant expense but it's not the only one. You're conveniently forgetting food and transportation.
Income tax is rather high in Commiefornia too.

OK but not everyone lives in a place where there are 1 million 6 figure wage tech bros all trying to outbid each other on the 100 houses available to them.
Not to mention that the 3050 doesn't even run off of the pcie slot's 75w >the 6gb card does!
cool but it's still way too expensive for what little performance it offers
If that were the case, then they wouldn't be as actively malicious as they are. Their whole trick with the 40 series has been to be stingy with VRAM so that when the PS6 and Xbox whateverthefrick come out with 32 GB, everyone will be forced to upgrade their $2000 GPUs. It's obvious that njewdia wants to squeeze as much money as they can from gamers
Some x50 cards were nice.
I loved my 750Ti for example.
It barely sipped any power and performed well enough. I even did tons of hobby 3D rendering with CUDA on it and used it up until 2022.
Today's prices are absolutely moronic and wouldn't buy a modern 50 card but the 750Ti was really really neat.
Some time ago my little brother was gifted my 2600k build, I kept my new at the time 1070 and gave him a gigabyte 1050ti, the cheapest one in could find. He still plays sniper elite on it all these years later. I'm almost jealous how much fun he was having when I was already sort of bored with games. Now he has my 1070. Lucky guy gets all my hand me downs. >Stereo system >Hacked switch >Car speakers >Old tools
Etc.
Yeah well back when I used the 750Ti I imagined myself being a badass running a GTX480 that I couldn't afford back when it was new kek. The 750 had around that performance, just a couple years later and for a poorgay pricetag
They don't need to "test" anything. They won. This is Jensen dangling his sweaty balls on your face.
no, thats by gogabyte
What's the use case for a 3050?
it runs off a pci slot without extra power meaning you can stick it in your dogshit dell you stole out of a middle school dumpster and now you can play games
Only the cursed 6gb version though. It's still probably chaper to buy a used Optiplex and a used graphics card.
based, its a dell though
>stole out of a middle school dumpster
*dug out of a middle school dumpster
Taking from trash is not stealing, zoomie.
What? xx50 series has existed since forever, cheap for poor people who don't want to play on integrated shit
>1050 MSRP: $109
>3050 MSRP: $249
>cheap
Like a day or two working, the frick
Nobody on this board makes $30/hr, not even (You)

kek, my first gaming PC had a GTS 450 1gb. Was around 90€ back in 2011.

They could stop shipping gamer GPUs tomorrow and their stock price would only soar.

Literally nobody needs that much VRAM for gaming, you don't need double digit VRAM unless you're running local models.
>Literally nobody needs that much VRAM for gaming, you don't need double digit VRAM unless you're running local models.
Everything, even your browser, consumes VRAM nowadays. And these program does not release it when you start to play games.
>xorg: 170mb
>chrome: 37mb
>chrome: 59mb
I have 4GB and it's enough for games, not enough to run stable diffusion tho.
is it more insulting than the 4060?
Member the 750ti and the 1050ti? Good times.
I will only ever buy a last gen used card. Frick this $1500 gpu nonsense.
which one
Currently using a used EVGA 3080 I got for $400 a little over a year ago.
It costs more than the GTX 1660 I got in 2019 for basically the same performance. I hate PC gayman so much is unreal, Nvidia HQ should be nuked.

You're a cool bro
Integrated Graphics nowadays are basically the same as the 750ti
not trying to insult the gpu btw, i just thought it was a little reddit fun fact 😀
meteor lake igpu is equivalent to a 1050 anon. amd isn't far off either

The latest Radeon 890M iGPU will have around the same performance as GTX 1060.
The 750ti was as strong as the ps4. Integrated graphics today are nowhere near as strong as a ps5.
Ha ha you're a poor
I am on a r9 270x still and had no updates for years.
Any recs which 2nd hand GPU i should lookout for ?
150€ is my budget
