visually speaking, which one of these looked the best? For me it's a tie between xp and vista.
I know people didn't like how xp looked back then, but I personally always liked it and thought it looked pretty friendly and nice.

vista aero sucked because of shadows that can't be disabled
also vista failed to skin console windows
the only good thing about it was turning off panel transparency when maximizing windows
7 was the best. Then Vista. Lastly XP. It literally got better over time. Remember that stupid dog in XP File Explorer search?

Vista looked kinda sick ngl. My compaq that could barely run eve online had vista and it kinda grew on me

Yeah, I am certain the people that make these threads never used Vista when it came out. They're just kids that saw a video about how cool aero is and hopped on to the bandwagon.
Vista was a fricking nightmare to use even on high end PCs, installed it on a brand new PC that surpassed the requirements at the time and had bluescreens all the time.
Although royale noir did look fricking sick but the part around the start button never seemed to fit the taskbar properly which was annoying
