no, it's because nobody cares enough to try to hack it at this point

doesn't help when you can play most of its stuff on PC anyway

nah, not true at all, they tried very hard and the main reason that XBMCwas renamed Kodi was they never were able to get it to run on the 360 after the original xbox and it had been ported to so many other devices that continuing to calling it 'xbox media centre' seemed pretty redundant.

That's not true. The Xbox 360 emulator still very hardware demanding. Xbox 360 still have a lot of good games that aren't avaliable on PC (Exclusives or not) and if they be someday, will be those 4k ray-trayced bullshit editions instead of a simple port that can run on everything.

        Xenia still sucks ass

It sucks that Xenia still can't run Far Cry Instincts Predator properly
Apparently the game worked nearly perfectly and was playable to the ending in some very old early builds, but some regressions made it unplayable and they were never fixed - depending on the build it either doesn't boot or runs with lots of graphics glitches and occasional crashes.

yeah, the xenia developers lost interest a long time ago
now they focus on creating drama for no reason

not only it would show this message every time, it would also play a really loud beep sound

It should also put a full screen jumpscare on your screen.

            Why are they like this?

So... we're not allowed to use backups? Original discs will not last forever, you know.

      >nobody cares
there was a recent improvement discovered in 2022 that completely bypassed the need for a glitch chip, but still required you to open up the machine and solder a few wires

    major revision deemed unhackable
    >why?
reset pin is not accessible without desoldering the XCGPU thats it
fricking idiots they made a revision to the console the year they discontinued it
the early 360 Es were a Corona board btw

Almost every 360 was vulnerable to hardware attacks so nobody bothered.

So just like every other console? Didn't stop everyone from moving to software exploits when those got discovered. This just never happend on the 360.

Is this the one where they drilled a hole in some chip to cut the wires for something
You can probably count on one hand the number of people who give a shit about pirating shitty console games enough to do this instead of just cutting their losses and buying a PC.

      This is a paradox.

        yes.
the accurate description of the situation has microsoft as the attacker, which removes the paradox. the problem they're attempting to solve is not "how do i prevent my system from being compromised" but "how do i maintain control over a system i have compromised but no longer have physical access to".
