What are you waiting for, IQfy?

Daily reminder that FSFLA keeps finding and removing binary blobs from the mainline Linux kernel every single day. The glowie shills will tell you that everything is fine because "the blobs were removed to a separate package called linux-firmware" but this is a blatant LIE. There are thousands of binary blobs and lines of obfuscated code in the mainline kernel added by hundreds of different companies any of which could be an NSA front.

Take the libre pill.

You can update your CPU microcode beforehand.
        Problem solved.

You should be running Libreboot anyways.

You are right, I meant Coreboot. LIbreboot is the option that doesn't update your microcode. IMHO either is fine depending on your preference.

I actually do use Linux-libre. It's fine for my usecase but I don't think it's for everybody, or rather, it's not for many people at all.
    You have to both be
    >decent with technology to lookup compatible hardware
    >not a user of proprietary software in the first place, because otherwise you'll really miss it

Trannies are too busy ricing their desktops to bother with the libre-kernel anon. You'll typically see them using more normie distros like Arch rather than bother with obscure stuff like GUIX.
