Is this just a TV for your face? Is the new thing that they made it wireless now? Because that's not "90% of Vision Pro" that's approximately 2% of Vision Pro

      wtf can vision pro do?

That's literally what Apple is promoting about the Apple vision, as a personal home cinema, virtual monitor for entertainment and productivity, which these chink AR glasses can do that already at a fraction of the cost and weight.
There are still no killer AR apps yet just like VR.

The screen on these float around when you tilt your head. There's no eye tracking or anything. With proper XR you can create virtual screens and move them around. It's a lot more immersive and comfortable. My dad bought a pair of Xreal glasses and he has not used them very much because they aren't very good. The real 90% Vision Pro is the Quest 3.

        wtf can vision pro do?

        A lot of things. Theoretically.

I see. Well, in that case, yeah, this is basically 90% of Vision Pro. I guess Vision Pro lets you navigate via eyesight and a bunch of those other fancy features... I mean this is just a screen, Vision Pro is like an iPad on your face

Yeah, but It limits your ecosystem to just Apple products and software whilst costing 10x more for eye tracking/gesture controls and more vibrant image. But I'm still glad Apple released It so as to bring normie consumers and more tech companies into this product category since we've already reached the endgame with Smartphone development.

another moron who doesnt know what they are talking about its actually high quality, the PPI on these is higher than anything else on the market, even the vision pro, the ppi like 4x the quest pro, its something crazy like 4000ppi because its like a 10mm 1080p 120hz sony micro oled, the FOV is just low because the screen is tiny, its like 50deg so it doesnt actually fill your vision, its just a floating square in front of you, if these actually had the FOV of the index it would have like a 8k resolution screen, the problem is nobody makes micro oleds that high pixel density yet.

there was actually talk of using the same tech thats in these with 2k per eye lcds behind them and impressive dual optics also so you get a FOViated screen that is like 4k per eye, with the center spot being like 4000ppi and the surrounding non focal point being 1000ppi.

essentially think of like a 1080p 65 inch tv with a 4k 32 inch screen stuck in the center, so the focal point in the center has ultra high resolution where you cant see the pixels and your perhipheral vision can be more pixelated and you dont notice the lower resolution, so it is less demading to render

        >pic related
it renders the image like this on two screens and fancy optics essentially eliminate the bezel on the center micro OLED in the display and eye tracking shifts the foviated bubble around the center higher resolution display, your perhipheral renders low resolution and you never notice, this way a gpu like a 4080 can render modern engines at a perceived ultra high resolution.

this is how the $5000 varjo headset achieves insane resolutions, it has stacked screens using optical tricks for hardware foviation.
