God is the God of mercy who will forgive anyone who humbles themselves and asks for forgiveness.
He will take back eventhe farthest flung souls.

Hell is only a prison for the prideful that actively choose to deny God

So people can leave hell by humbling themselves and asking for forgiveness?

In the Christian mind not believing in God is like murdering someone and repenting only after you are "caught" is not meaningful. It's a silly religion.

Infinite punishment for finite sins is cruel. There can be no justification for such a thing other than the malevolence of God.
Buddhist hell actually makes a lot more sense because it's only temporary until you have the bad karma purged from you. This is a lot more just than Christian hell. .

So it's not really about repentance, because if it was there wouldn't be a time limit on when you can repent.

100% of humanity will die, whether it's fair or not, including children and the mentally handicapped, and you accept that fact without complaining.
Why is Mother nature not b***hed about while Father Reality is? Is it because we dont attribute agency to women?

anon, if you feel temptations all day every day, you're mentally ill.

Please note that i'm responding to (

          [...]
          >programs gay urges into his flesh robots
          >tells them not to suck dick

          )
          He said
gay urges into his flesh robots
          >tells them not to suck dick
So this is the subject we're discussing. Whether it's once a day or all day doesn't matter.
i'm treating lust as just one type of temptation. the question isn't how often you get horny, the question is how you confront it

And yes, in the course of a normal day, you have urges that you don't follow up on, some by choice, and some by imposition. that's just part of being an adult.
The extent to which God (who isn't just some guy, but a personification of the structure of reality) "programs" these urges into us, seems not to bother anyone, until the question comes to homosexuality.
I know you don't have to believe God is real to believe in self-control. This is actually what makes it so silly to me that anyone fights this idea. You go about your day resisting temptation as an atheist or a christian, regardless, but it's only when confronted by the idea that we do so by divine injunction that we suddenly trip out about it.

and how much we exacerbate these temptations - by beating ourselves up and crying about it or by indulging it or surrounding ourselves with reminders and triggers - is yet another question. nature puts a desire for sugar in you and yet you fight it.
if you have a sugar problem you don't keep snacks in the house or drive the route past the doughnut shop. whether it's fair or not, that's what life gave you.

100% of humanity will die, whether it's fair or not, including children and the mentally handicapped, and you accept that fact without complaining.
Why is Mother nature not b***hed about while Father Reality is? Is it because we dont attribute agency to women?

    Joke's on you I'm a masochist.
Really God has 3 choices: give me an eternity of mind-numbing ecstasy, or give me something pleasant, or give me nothing at all. Neither of them is a punishment to me in any way. I've basically outwitted God and can do what I want without repercussion.
