because it establishes proof of variable combination + time = less complex things changing into more complex things. meanwhile there's zero proof for any complex things spontaneously popping into existence.

holy shit. How stupid are you? It shows this for DNA and not necessarily more complex. However DNA has to already be complicated to do this and there is no proof for any complex thing spontaneously popping into existence

Define "popping into existence" more specifically.

Do we really have to have the conversation again why the supernatural is excluded from studying the natural world ?

Sometimes I think you guys act stupid to annoy me

            >Define "popping into existence" more specifically.
Not sure what he meant but 20 years ago Koonin wrote a paper opining that with the current state of paradoxical understanding it might not be an unfeasible idea to begin to entertain the idea that basically putting a bunch of amino acid building blocks in a jar with water, shacking it up, and having a proto-cell replicator form spontaneously when you dump out the water might be an explanation of how life got started.....
His reasoning was a "multiverse" would have infinite chances so we just got lucky.
He never said it actually happened of course, he just said maybe we should begin to entertain the idea.
It's a literally paper and he is highly respected:
            https://biologydirect.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/1745-6150-2-15
I don't think he's changed his opinion since. "Abiogenesis" is a paradoxical mess that gets worse every time we look further.

Yeah , but it's the best we have, the problem is the alternative explanations are worse.

            >it's the best we have, the problem is the alternative explanations are worse
If an explanation even *might* need to appeal to science fiction fantasies like "multiverses" to make it work then it is not an "explanation." It is religion. The alternatives are therefore no worse.

Well it's not religion because it doesn't appeal to the supernatural.

Curious that you think calling it a religion is discrediting.

And that's not to say that some don't misuse science for idealogical reasons, but that's exactly what they are doing - misusing it

Life is easier to explain given theism is true than given theism is false. Therefore, life is evidence for theism.

Everything is easier to explain given theism is true because theism is a framework for creating ad hoc hypotheses.
