All people are free as a matter of their existence. We can embrace and use this freedom whenever we want.

All people are free as a matter of their existence. We can embrace and use this freedom whenever we want. Why then are there so many people that line up to wrap themselves in chains and to declare themselves the slaves of ancient books? And why do the people that enslave themselves to those books then scream like monkeys when they see people grasp their own freedom in defiance of those books?

These people are not enslaved. You can’t claim a willing participant is a slave, you can say he’s self-depricating and self-restraining, but not self-enslaving.

Good post. It's because they are not free, in one way or another they become ensnared by the tools religions employ, things like guilt, shame and belief in an ultimate authority.

The highest argument from an average atheist proselytizer is a strawman.

    >Why then are there so many people that line up to wrap themselves in chains and to declare themselves the slaves of ancient books?
Who is declaring themselves "slaves"? These ancient religions were used as systems to help people navigate day to day life and find a deeper purpose in life than the mundane process of working until death. Whether you agree with the premises of these religions in that context is another topic. But to smugly proclaim the reason people turn to religion is to willingly enslave themselves is pretentiously vapid.

The underlying question (at which you would have arrived had you applied even an elementary degree of contemplation instead of seeking to validate your midwit intellect with a strawman) is whether or not there IS a deeper meaning of life.
However, given that your angle of argument relies on painting a false and absurd portrayal of those you deem your ideological opponents, I know for a fact your brain is simply not equipped to even ponder this question.

In short, you're nowhere near as intelligent as you think you are.

Christians always use this cope quote to justify the slave mindset.
      >b... but everybody is a slave to something

        I'm not a Christian.

        >b... but everybody is a slave to something
You're literally so stupid that you have to double down on using more strawmans when your argument has been squashed.
On one hand I'm surprised that you have enough awareness to know (at least instinctively) that your argument has been dismantled. On the other hand, the fact that your instinctive response is to address absolutely nothing I said, tells me your level of sentience is that of a lower animal which acts according to instinct with zero thought.

            >Flustered upon being outmatched by his opponent, the fedora-clad midwit writhes in discomfort as it unconsciously resists the harsh reality of self awareness. In order to distract itself and halt its evolution, it recalls that one thing it read on twitter 4 years ago:
            >kek...triggered
            >The midwit sighs in relief as it convinces itself of its intellectual competence. "A close call," its unconscious mind says to itself, "the host almost became aware of itself."
            >Now, presented with an opportunity to reinforce the unconsciousness of the host, the unconscious mind signals the host's body to release a squirt of dopamine, thereby strengthening the instinct of the midwit, at the expense of its capacity for thought. Dangerous thought.

Wow, such a blind cuck. Wonder how many Nietzsches it would take to knock some sense into you. Life ain't no deeper than your mum, you're just an overdramatic woman in a Black person's body. Damn, imagine being the same decaying organic filth like the 7 billion others on the planet and believing that there is a higher order purpose designated just for you. Imagine being so directionless in life that you'd whip up an imaginary god and worship him rather than confronting your dilemma.
Religion is for the herds — if you can't see through the facade despite having popes that suck wieners, then forget being a Black person, you're just straight up blind.

            > Deeper purpose in life than the mundane process of working until death
Proceeds to attend the church on weekends despite working the whole week. Of all the things you could do with the limited time you have on earth — you treat yourself with indoctrination via surface-level circular arguments.
            > Muh, if you can't understand this moronic thing I'm saying, you're moronic — your brain can't comprehend duh
            > If you have doubts, you can't see god — so believe in him
