    I do.
    Use KDE Connect.
Get the app from the App Store and
    >sudo apt install kdeconnect
Start the app on your iPhone and on the Linux distro.

Warpinator is another great option. It has worked better for me in the past than KDE Connect.

KDE Connect works on iOS. You can use it to transfer files over Wi-Fi.

I use it on my iPad and it just works as well as Syncthing anywhere, with the one limitation that it doesn’t sync dotfiles or something weird like that because iOS

I really want to switch to Android but holy shit I just can’t justify it. Apple works so well and does everything I literally need. The idea of a Samsung device is appealing but I would rarely ever use the functions that I think are cool.

I feel the same. Want to try something different but already deep in Apple ecosystem and everything just works.

I dont technically i've never plugged my iphone into my PC, I just run a bunch of web services on my linux server so i can just pull shit off it on my phone when required at home or when out and about

Depends, if I just want to transfer files to play video or music then I use VLC and the built in wifi transfer within the app and then open the local ip address of the iPhone on a web browser and drag and drop the media files.
If it’s to transfer from my iPhone to my pc then I just plug in my iPhone like normal and click on the iPhone to mount the device it’ll either be “iPhone” for the pictures and videos taken by the camera or “Documents on iPhone” for files stored in the storage on the phone itself.
