because on gentoo I didn't need to type two unmemorable commands to do what I already wanted to do for every single package

Gentoo was originally an rm -rf /* tier joke. The whole point was someone would come to IQfy looking for basic tech support, and you'd say, "install Gentoo" because if they were dumb enough to listen to you they'd end up staring at a compiler screen for 14 hours. It's a good distro but it has use cases and honestly a home desktop isn't one of them.

keep coping poorgay, gentoo is so lightweight I use it on my laptop

No, the joke is that Gentoo is for advanced users and obviously recommending Gentoo to a beginner asking for tech support isn't very helpful. The joke wasn't a criticism of Gentoo itself but rather of the newbie asking for tech support.

It is rather hilarious how much Gentoo makes ordinary Linux users seethe. It's the same seething you see from Windows users about Linux. It's the kind of seething when you wish you could use the operating system but secretly know it's too hard for you. Meanwhile Gentoo users don't seethe about Windows/Mint/Ubuntu/Debian users, we just feel bad for them.

I don't know how Gentoo is, but I feel like debian has bad tooling. You can't even downgrade a packet without devs yelling at you that it's not supported.

debian is the only simple way to simply manage dependencies system wide. no other system comes close to USE flags. every other package/build system i know of requires manually changing of every package that has a dep you want removed, or provides a very limited set of what dependencies you can disable. Debian and it's offspring are among the worst for building a custom system because their dependency selection method is essentially a black box. They don't pull all deps and they dont pull only the bare minimum. They try to include the "least surprising set" but also have arbitrary deps included or removed.

USE flags are an opinionated abstraction over package-specific flags that often doesn't even cover them all.

your troony opinion doesn't hold water when you troony distro maintainer decided that systemd is le good and gave you no choice to disable it

wdym? You can use any init system you want on Debian, they are all in the official repos.

Nowhere close as someone obsessing over trannies while deluding himself that his own distribution isn't run by trannies.

You can always, you know, avoid bringing up trannies if you don't like talking about them. Backing up like this just makes you look like an idiot.
