Thank you for being the guinea pig. I actually use Ubuntu for work, so upgrading and potentially running into bugs would cause me issues.

I've had zero bugs or issues on the development build.

    I'll updoot, shame there's no Plasma 6.

After hearing all the complaining about 6 I'm okay with it being the final version of 5.

Plasma 6 has HDR support and some bugfixes. I liked it on openSUSE (though I don't like openSUSE myself)
You know what the worst thing is? KDE has support for global menus. But GTK applications will never support global menus on Wayland because of political reasons.
        In short, frick GNOME.

Frick Plasma 6 dude. 5.27 is perfect.

Does it still have the outline you can't disable?

If you want ableist low-contrast monochrome shit use GNOME.

The problem is with MPV, having that outline around the video frame looks bad

It's the closest thing to good. The border is only on Breeze so you can switch and it goes away.

You've been able to disable them for years.

Isn't the thumbnail meme dead in this version?? Another issue I have with Gnome/Ubuntu is that you can't set view type on a folder by folder basis. Like if you have list view on one folder, it has to be list view for all others.

Last time I checked, Gnome 46 still didn't had thumbnails in the file picker.

The file picker sucks, it can't generate new thumbnails

It is, this was before the fall but thankfully TrinityDE saves the day. Older DEs seems so much better.

How many more critical packages are going to be snaps this time?

Unironically all of them. They want to release an alternative version of Ubuntu fully snapped alongside 24.04.
