Automatic good morning texts to my GF

My girlfriend has implied that wants to be sent good morning and good night messages everyday, and since the morning part is a repeative task at pretty mich the same time every day I see the opportunity to automate it. Does some sort of "API" exist for sending text messages? The timing can be done with a simple cronjob with some randomness.

      Thanks, I'll check it out!

I doubt she actually wants you to do this indefinitely dumbass, how do you think she's gonna feel when she finds out you scripted something as banal as this, like you can't even be bothered to text good morning for a few days till she forgets about it

The plan is to not tell her and just run it for a little while and use the opportunity to learn something new

Yeah women have very simple minds, she is getting good morning text from 3 or 4 other guys every day who want to smash, so she has to think that her bf needs to at least meet that standard as well or he cares less than the other guy does. And pathetic OP just wants to smash too so he will do it.

Unironically this is what's going to happen sooner or later.
      > be me
      > constantly scolded over working at night
      > so I schedule messages @Telegram/Slack at 9am
      > wake up at 10
      > 8:40, an incident happens
      > they message me to no avail because Slack has silent mode on
      > 9am, my messages pop in
      > I wake up at 9:10 and look at the phone
      > ohshit.bmp
      > played it off

To sum on that, think about getting yourself a "smart button", you wake up and hit on that. Maybe, you can employ a BT speaker and some RasPi-based TTS to read your gf messages aloud first.

You can use the Twilio/Messagebird/Telnyx APIs to send SMS, Telnyx seems to be the easiest to get an account on. Obviously will cost a fraction of a cent per SMS but that's to be expected. All of them allow number spoofing, you just need to verify that your number is yours. If you prefer to pay with crypto btw, you might want to use Diamondcard instead.

If you don't want her to figure out your ruse, I'd suggest trying to randomize the times (like any random time between 7 and 8 AM for example), and having a list of good morning messages selected at random. For even greater functionality, you could even fine-tune a GPT-J instance on your message history with your gf to get other trivial interactions out of the way.
