Gemini Nano is an open source 3.25b model, so yes, it's clearly in the range designed to run on a modern android phone.

I know eldery people who receive these calls and know they are scam, but they answer anyway. For eldery people, speaking with other people is more important that money, they are happy with give money to the scammer.
I learn this of my grandparents losing thousands of dollars in scams calls.

We don't need to range ban India from the global internet. We simply need to napalm the entire country until nothing living is left. Afterwards, divide the land up to the surrounding countries.
Frick poos. I hate them more than anything after being in the IT industry for over two decades.

They have to lease those numbers from a service provider of your country at some point.

Unless you're dumb enough to answer calls coming from a foreign country of course. In which case, it's on you.

Oh my sweet summer child, you must be underage or something.
Most of the scams are something which they masquerade as banking/social services/police/etc calls or text messages from various services.
At least this is how it is in the EU, maybe US is different.

It's easy to overestimate how resilient you are to scams. If you're intimately familiar with how the scam works, how numbers are spoofed, how scammers obtain your information, etc. and you understand the tricks then you can dismiss it easily. But imagine you're a normie, even the slightest hint of uncertainty if the scammer says your name or has your number is all it takes. They're expert social engineers after all.
