By having the country ruled by a fricking moron who had zero qualifications other than being a friend and a bastard half-brother of the king.
Btw, the Fox-North Coalition was the first instance of the Horseshoe theory in modern politics.

North wasn't a moron. If he were, he would never have lasted in power as long as he did. He was regarded as one of the best speakers and debaters in the House of Commons. Before the revolutionary war, he was on the way to reducing a large size of the British debt, and he held his government together extremely well considering the circumstances which it faced.
The military leadership being moronic was no fault of his.

Guerilla warfare is really hard to deal with even for superpowers, look at literally every war America has ever lost.

Who was fighting a guerilla war?

Washington's Fabian strategy was 100% guerrilla war, but it was also "standard" war too, he used a mixed strategy as all competent armies fighting foreign would-be conquerors do.

Not at the time tho'. The porphyria didn't really kick in until after the war was over IIRC. And they didn't force the Regency on him until some decades after that.

This is the same guy. This is what seething British historical denialism and revisionism does to your brain. Don't be like this moron.

So you DO think the Americans were poor peasants who fought as guerrillas? Lol.

Many were piss-poor peasants who fought as guerrillas. Others were wealthy tradesmen and planters. Some were pirates, some were immigrants, a few were slaves or former slaves.

JFC you are extremely stupid. BTW Washington was wealthy for colonial standards but he was decidedly poor for a would-be aristocrat, even the largest American colonial mansion at the time was piddling compared to the ones that existed in England.

Took a very long time to reinforce back then and ultimately it wasn’t worth it and focusing on India was more profitable.
