Best Bitcoin Wallet

I fricking hate how glitchy coinbase can be. What would be a good bitcoin wallet for me to transfer all my bitcoin too when I want to get it out of coinbase as soon as possible?

You can always buy crypto on coinbase, but they don't always allow you to transfer it. It doesn't make sense, because it states that my transaction has finished, yet it won't let me move the shit. What about Exodus? It's a crypto wallet, but they give you the option to buy directly from them with a debit card.

        >You can always buy crypto on coinbase, but they don't always allow you to transfer it. It doesn't make sense
Probably because they run their own investment schemes with your coins in their wallets instead of just storing them for you. I don't know why you'd let a third party hold on to your coins in the first place.

I always just convert it to monero through trocador.app, anyway. I'm considering just using localmonero to cut bullshit coinbase out of the equation.

            >localmonero
they recently announced they were shuttingdown. do you really trust using paypal and shit anyway? did people use that for real transactions? localbitcoins made sense because people met in person and used cash. when i looked at localmonero it looked like you were begging to get fricked

You have to mine it yourself now. Lucky Monero has that capability. Seriously local bitcoins shutdown a while ago now. The on ramps are all israelited now besides mining XMR with your Ryzen.

You could go try out a decentralized exchange like Bisq or Haveno but tbh I have no idea how they work or how well they work. You can also go to Localmonero and note down the contact information of dealers there who have started putting handles in their ads before the site gets taken down.

Localmonero worked fine. I'd imagine most people used cash not paypal anyway. I had and Indian make a bank transfer to a guy I was buying generic meds from. Saved me time and money on the international transaction.

I can't imagine meeting people in my local city with cash. That's a good way to get shot.

Should I download the entire Bitcoin block chain (547 GB), or only a few gigabytes?

        >Should I download the entire Bitcoin block chain (547 GB), or only a few gigabytes?
Bitcoin Core always "downloads" entire BC, but it doesn't need to save it, it just needs to see it (process it) to make sure you are on a valid chain.

option prune decides if the downloaded data should be also kept on disk (then you can more easily import old wallets if needed, and also that helps other users because then you upload to them when they need).

prune=5000 means it will keep last 5000 MB of blocks, use that or more considering disk size.
Up to 10 GB more will be used for other data than the BC blocks.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.schildbach.wallet is good, doesn't need electrum.
BlueWallet is pretty neat. It has a vault function using multi sig but needs electrum.

It looks like coinbase just isn't allowing me to send bitcoin to addresses on AlfaCash, but this other exchange worked just fine, even though I'm losing some money through it.

Don't know but get off coinbase wallet if using the mobile app
    >use coinbase wallet
    >write down seed
    >phone internet stops working (I turned off mobile data like a moron by accident)
    >swap the sim to the backup phone
    >instal coinbase wallet app
    >import my seed
    >nothing in the wallet
    >the address is different from the old address
    >importing the seed created a new address ans rhe old address with my coins isn't there
I just sent my coins to my metamask from the old phone and app using mobile hot spot. Coinbase wallet is only for swapping efferium to some shitcoin then getting it off that shitpile and to a real wallet.

Not sure what changed in like 7 years but used to be, you get your shit off any website cloud wallet right into your own hardware wallet like Electrum. People no longer use their own wallets?
