        OK, in that case I'm guessing IntelliJ isn't very attractive.
        Unless all you want is syntax highlighting your goal should be to find something that can use rust-analyzer through LSP. There exists a LSP implementation for TextAdept but I don't know how well it works.

            Rust's official LSP server is fricking slow tho.

            It keeps an analysis of your whole project including dependencies in memory but in return you get very nice autocompletion and navigation and type inspection and refactoring tools and checks. It's a tradeoff most people gladly make
