This. I deal with it all of the time at work. They don't know shit if it's not an app on a phone.

    >don't know what folders are
Good, "folders" are a meaningless abstraction.

So is language. We should abolish both.

This can easily be fixed by changing the folder picture to a iphone and the sub folders to different apps.

Kids don't even know the difference between men and women, they are decades away from understanding the complexities of "files" and "folders"

The ones that do know the difference will be thrown in jail for hate tweets.

Computers are a thing from the 80s and 90s.
Most young peoples dont even have computers, they only use phones, tablets and apple laptops.

I could understand if you occasionally mix up your "/" and "" when jumping back and forth between Microsoft and Linux systems but to not know what files and folders are just seems silly if you are going into CS/Tech.

It's like studying to be an auto mechanic and not knowing what a gear shift is or what spark plugs are.

    How is that even possible?

      >be normie
      >constantly watching Tiktok and other stupid shit on your smartphone
      >"gee normie you're on your phone all day, you must be good with tech stuff"
      >apply for compsci because smartphone=complicated computer=I'm good at compsci
      It's not that hard.

I blame apple's stupidification of tech. Everything nowadays has to be "easy-to-use-just-like-magic-just-werkz".
It's like they literally did the "linux for Black folk" meme, but with all tech.
Humans forgot that "making it easier" gets you to forgetting how it was made in the first place.

We've all been saying it since day 1.
Phones and "normie" design are going to ruin it all. Dating all the way back to the hamburger menu times.. it's only gotten and is continuing to get worse.

People's phones have a "Gallery" that shows any and all images on the phone and they're permascrollers who just scroll until they find what they are looking for and they don't see a problem with it.
