People just get mad over anything.

Apple says they are green yet they pointlessly crushed a large number of very expensive items for their shitty ad.

This. People think they're important, and their opinion is important. They need to learn to shut the frick up, and let people who know what the frick they're doing do their jobs.

Well what I'm saying is when you are banned here, it is your ip that gets banned. So I'm just saying that maybe your phone has a different IP, or you used mobile data and that has a different IP making your ban not effect you.

i don't get it either, people are acting like they actually destroyed a bunch of stuff instead of using CGI

Yhea, but even if they did that still seems like a disproportionate amount of seetheing for a harmless advert. Do people get mad when like 150 cars are wrecked in the making of a fast an furious movie? No.

basically because frick apple. then people realized apple stole the advert (right down to look and camera angles) from an ad produced for LG back in 2008 and people are now just laughing at apple instead.

Shit I forgot to add the response to

this has been explained 500 times but i'll krump with you, sweetie-pie
to keep it short: its less about the literal destruction and more that apple declared that all those things were now obsolete with their new product; except said product is inferior to most of those things in every way. the ipad is meant to be a tool to supplement one's efforts, not the be-all-end-all of all things.
additionally its very "consume the product, consumer" because unlike all the things that were crushed, the ipad will become obsolete in a couple years and you'd be forced to buy a new one.
people are crazy for their tools of the trade; particularly musicians. they protect their musical instruments with their lives and treat them like their children; buying them a 2nd or even 3rd airline ticket just for the instrument to protect it. so the idea that an ipad can replace that is somehow offensive.
and then you have all of japan right now that's seething because shintoism dictates that all objects have a "soul" or "spirit" and the longer that object exists the more life-like that soul becomes and after a century its basically considered to be a living, breathing thing.
they go as far as to apologize to things that cannot be fixed and are forced to throw away; thanking them for their service. this commercial fundamentally went against that culture.

No one is bad, but apple is panicking because it is bad PR since everyone is going "look at what US techbros want to kill".
So now they "apologize" to make everyone who made fun of them seem like they were raging and sell the narrative of "evil, angry internet mob"

They're not. The outrage is faked so people watch the ad to see why people are mad and are basically tricked into watching apple advertising of their own volition. You are either intentionally doing so too or have been tricked into discussing the ad.

Because it very blatantly shows what these corpos want to do, destroy everything you ever loved and replaced it with new overpriced locked down useless slim slop.

The problem is society moving towards a more and more boring and robotic future.
Everything destroyed in the example was a tactile "real" experience. Or at least an experience that was outside of your home, probably with other people around.
Hobbies and art forms that was raw with no "fake" help. Things that people take pleasure in learning, perfecting, owning and practicing.

This feels like a few steps before a Wall-E floating wheelchair appearing instead of the iPad

Because of a successful ad campaign. No one would have given 2 shits, but advertisement companies will push stories claiming controversy and then people who would never have had an opinion otherwise see it and start talking about it.
