Hare is a systems programming language designed to be simple, stable, and robust. It uses a static type system, manual memory management, and a minimal runtime. Hare is particularly well-suited for writing operating systems, system tools, compilers, networking software, and other low-level, high-performance tasks. It aims to offer an alternative to the C programming language, providing a simpler syntax and safer language constructs while still enabling the efficiency and control over hardware that C is known for

You forgot to mention that Hare uses QBE for its backend, high-performance is not exactly how I would describe it. There's also no generics right now and zero plans to add them in the future. It's just a worse C both in design and performance.

Make it useful first before trying to convince others to use it.

anyway, do you not agree that just with regards to the specification, hare is simpler and more safe than C? care to specify?

            >safer language constructs
            >more safe than C
lmao Hare is not even memory safe, anon. It's literally just C with even less features, what the frick are you talking about?
            >do you not agree that just with regards to the specification
            >404 Page not found
Well, unfortunately I can't even see the specification but here's the thing, Hare appears "simpler" but only in implementation and that's because it's lacking so many features that the complexity gets pushed back to the developers, like the very obvious lack of generics. Go tried to justify their lack of generics by saying that it makes the implementation more complex and they're absolutely right that it does, but it also massively simplifies the job of each developer.
In language design you should almost NEVER choose simplicity of implementation over simplicity of development in the language. We're not living in the 60s, we can have nice languages features now without the compiler crashing your shitty 64k computer.

If you've ever wondered why this shitlang is only ever spammed in IQfy and has pretty much zero relevance outside of it, it's because the spamming is done by about 3 people in total (including the worm named drew himself).

If they tried to shill it on any other non anonymous place they'd get instantly banned for shameless shilling and/or shunned out of the community as annoying spammers.

This is, in fact, exactly what happened on lolster because the manchild still stuck in his "I hate my parents, but can't connect the dot to why is my metal state so unstable" phase named drew kept spamming about source hut. https://lobste.rs/~ddevault

And EVEN IN IQfy, it's still insanely irrelevant to the point where the spammer needs to bump it (multiple times too, lmao) to keep it up.

Keep in mind that this is AFTER drew begged people to shill his shitlang. So you can probably imagine just how irrelevant this toylang really is.

And somehow doesn't spend enough time programming to realize his language design is severely lacking. Drew thinks language design from the 60s is enough for systems programming today.
