You can't buy devices based on your current one breaking. That F-91W might live longer than you. If I followed that rule, I'd still be driving a 1975 Toyota Corolla with no airbags.

          There are many digivices.

The VB itself is one of them.

You can also get a "classic face", if this is what you want.

I want something that can take accurate exercise metrics and doesn't require using dah cloud. But one of my concerns is battery. Even if I'm fine with 2 days of uptime, batteries degrade and I doubt these will be easy to swap

Pro tip, no fitness watches are actually accurate. Apple watches are the closest but they're still not actually "accurate" (but good enough)
For android the Huawei watch fit ones are good. But you can never trust any fitness watch fully, and many of the really expensive ones are worse than many cheap ones at accurate tracking.
It's still good as a motivator for exercising and it does work in that way, just take it as a rough estimate. Also remember to put it on tight enough and have at least a fingers widht between your arm and wrist, or else the tracking will be even less accurate

I used it in college when they were still pretty new and it was usefull to check messages and shit in class without looking like I typical ass clown whos looking at their phone and not paying attention. I had the G Watch R since it was like the only round smart watch at the time and 90% of people didnt even realize it was a smart watch. I used one pretty much daily for years till like 2 years ago when I swiched to a mechanical since I was tired as shit of charging the thing every night, or like forgetting the charger at home when I go on vacation and it being effectively dead in short order. I work from home so trying to be "stealthy" with checking notifications anymore is a complete non-issue, and I just wanna know the fricking time.

I also did use the Tic Watch Pro for a while since the battery eventually went to shit on the G watch R, but the battery life claims were insanely misleading. They had the LED screen thing that was their low energy mode, which you were supposed to use to get more life out of the watch. You could even kick it into "emergency mode" where it shutdown the smartwatch aspect and just turned into a digital watch to tell time and claimed 30 days of life in this mode. I forgot my charger on a trip to vegas once, had 90% battery, and kicked the mode on. Shit lasted literally a day and a half before it completely died, which was odd since normally a day and a half was what I would get out of it normally anyway.

Actually yes, I need Multi Band so that I don't have to worry about correcting the time when it drifts apart or when DST kicks in/out.

I would buy this g shock as soon as my casio f91w gives up but that is all I need actually and it cost me only 10 bucks years ago.

My F-105W didn't give up and I got it and I don't regret it. Multi Band, proper calendar so leap years aren't an issue, month display, world time, multiple alarms, snooze alarm, timer, auto backlight, and it's a G-Shock so I can throw it around and drown it and it doesn't care. The only real downside is that the piezo beeper isn't as loud.
