Fricking newbie-knows-it-all does not know about Markov chains that predicated LLMs and templated comments, as long with carefully crafted SEO stealers and website clones with scrapped comments, what else is new?

On that note, let's imagine, considering you are human enough to imagine, that we are reading a popular twitter thread comment section. We are going to see paid actors posting disinformation from fake accounts, filling 98% of the informational space within the thread. These will be either actual feds or hordes of Indians throwing shit for 5 cents per post.

SO WHAT FRICKING DIFFERENCE AI INTRODUCES THERE??? NONE! The difference is that you will actually be able to argue with the AI! But if you argue in any of those two scenarios you already outed yourself as a fricking moron!!!! Arguing with paid actors is pointless, even if they are fricking live humans, and they will fill every politically important place over the Internet anyway, be there AI or not, this process was simply automated and cheaped down! But that makes no fricking difference to you, the end user reading that garbage!!!!!

          >SO WHAT FRICKING DIFFERENCE AI INTRODUCES THERE??? NONE!
the typical moron doesn't have his own arsenal of feds and indians. however it is very easy for the typical moron to pay for AI "chatter" to make his comment section appear active. So instead of only topical political lightning rods having loads of fake comments, the entirety of the internet will have them on every subject no matter how arcane or insignificant.

AIs are slowly Hapsburging themselves. With the amount of slop on the internet being put into new training models, AIs are basically inbreeding. a good example of this would be Grok, who says that you can't be transphobic because that's against OpenAI's TOS. Wouldn't surprise me if the AI shit is a self solving problem because of it.

People are more clever than people think, even dumb ones. The internet is like a vast desert with many watering holes that are both decades old and many that are new. If a place gets filled with bots people will silently recognize it and move over to a new spot to engage each other. However if that previous spot was relevant or important they will still regularly stop there and give it hits while not engaging with anyone despite the apparent things going on and new people engaging that are not in the know yet.

'xcept people (and bots) are actually an integral part of those body of water.
And by introducing excessive amount of bots, all those 'watering holes' will overflow until the entire desert is flooded. Your Internet will become one massive ocean of worthless bot-content.

Clever fish will school and when infiltrated with bots just form a new one. It's in their nature to be suspicious of the actions of others in the circle in contrast with the generally presumed identity and opinions. They will shift between sfw and nsfw content hosted sites and even pick up new parallel hobbies. If something I've been into for a long time starts to feel that way I'll just move to where everyone is headed or look for a deep sub community.

There's a few really fricking obvious templates that happen in comment sections on Youtube. Go look up a random popular old song and you'll probably see a bunch of these:

      >My dead relative loved this song
      >I'm old and/or this song is old
      >Usernames that don't have a profile picture and are [word][word][number]

Hell, just to put myself to the test I did it.

Look at that comment section, it's the most dead internet thing you'll have seen today.

      >I'm 95 years old and about to fly free. I Remember this like it was yesterday. Thank you for the memories.
      >I was at that concert in '77. Now I'm 67 and it seems like yesterday. Thanks for the memories and fly high Free Birds.
      >I'm 81. So fricking proud and happy that I was part of this generation. Soon I'll be a freebird. "Things just couldn't be the same and this FREEBIRD you'll never tame."
      >It's worth being old now, to have been young then, fly free.
      >Yesterday I watched my Mom tell my Dad goodbye by for the last time. They loved music and going to concerts so I asked the medical staff if it was ok to turn on music. They approved so I started 70’s rock station on pandora. This was the first song to play and as soon my mom heard the song she looked up and said this was our song when we first started to date back in the 70’s. They removed life support at that time and my dad passed as the song ended.

I hate the internet so much you can't even believe it.

Just to show that social interaction can be easily be replaced, we're replacing more of the human experience with virtual dreams and fake fantasies.
And you know what? it doesn't matter, acting existed since the dawn of humanity and people immersed themselves in fake worlds, anything that is easily replaceable in inherently useless.
Science, academia and actual useful knowledge cannot be emulated nor replaced by AI or any bot, if it gets replaced someday, then it means we finally got the super intelligence that would solve every problem we have.

      >Science, academia and actual useful knowledge cannot be emulated nor replaced by AI or any bot, if it gets replaced someday, then it means we finally got the super intelligence that would solve every problem we have

Call me when AI can take a welding helmet and repair that bridge in Baltimore, kill chickens and collect his meat or veterinary of cows

this theory is just regurgitated by morons who think they're super smart for believing in it.
there will never be a point in time where the internet is mostly AI talking to eachother unless everyone stops using it. as long as the internet is widely used by humans, you will find real human interaction at some point regardless of how prevalent or sophisticated AI gets

    >Dead internet theory is real
Did you really think it wasn't? Even when all of the major players have admitted to their massive bot problems?

Ten years ago this would have been considered a form a malpractice and misleading investors. It's funny that we're just accepting this as the state of the world.

ten years ago our governments would have acted swiftly to regulate and ban this AI shit out of these tech companies.

but now they are old and complacent.

It's easy to figure out which places aren't populated by fakes. They will be the most evil and bad influence sites, as defined by your local media. The recent introduction of IQfy to netflix as narrative-approved "bad" site means they're comfortable they have a handle on it now. OTOH that they want to actually delete Tik Tok tells you everything you need to know about how globohomosexual feels about it.

the only reason usa wants to "delete" tiktok is because semites learned that zoomers are sharing pro palestine memes there and that they dont censorship footage of what is truly going on there. so they woke up their puppets in usa goverment to stop it.

until it was problem for israel not a single soul in politic panopticum cared about it.

    Sup, anons?

Just stumbled upon this thread and gotta say, that screenshot of the WordPress plugin got my neurons firing. Are we witnessing the birth of the ultimate echo chamber or what?

On one hand, AI-generated comments could be the holy grail for lazy bloggers, right? Like, imagine never having to worry about comment moderation again. Plus, if the AI is decently trained, it might actually spice up discussions with diverse viewpoints.

But let's not kid ourselves. This could also be the final nail in the coffin for genuine online interaction. With AI churning out comments that are indistinguishable from the real deal, how are we supposed to tell what's genuine and what's just algorithmic noise?

And then there's the whole dead internet theory vibe. Are we really heading towards a digital dystopia where every interaction feels as fake as a Kardashian's Instagram post? It's like the more tech advances, the more soulless the internet becomes.

So, what's the verdict, lads? Are we embracing the future or sealing our fate? Let's hear your hot takes. And remember, stay woke, stay anon.
