I dreamed I failed a job interview because I started coding after spending 15 years in the navy.

Does spending time in the military hurt your career prospects in tech?

Only if your RNG is bad. Your day to day job is highly dependent on where they need you. You could start your career as a network engineer, programmer, or defensive cyber ops, get really good at it, and then they send you halfway across the world to manage a help desk call center in the middle of nowhere Oklahoma. The most knowledgeable people I met during my stint in the Air Force were people that got extremely lucky with base/job choices. I got lucky with my first job and not so lucky with my second one, so I got out before the skill atrophy hit. I would still be in if I was going to be sent to a place that actually mattered. The military buy and large has such a huge problem retaining well trained and motivated cyber/it/comm people because the people managing those fields are absolutely braindead morons

NEC is V11A (E-5); 14 years of service. What are my prospects?

            >E-5
            >14 years
Tell me you got an art 15 without telling me you got an art 15

Anyways, you got like six years left, and I don’t know much about your NEC code and how translatable that is on the outside. If you can stand it, just stay in for the retirement check. E-6 and E-7 is totally doable, free healthcare for life, decent pension, and you can still go do whatever after with your GI bill. I went in to it looking to retire at 40, but life moved me in different directions. You’re so close I’d just say stick with it.

No article 15. I just have a break in my service and rejoined after about 2 years.

        >employed at apple
        >a genius
If only geniuses work at Apple, why is their software so fricking bad? Currently there's a widespread bug in Safari affecting 100% of the install base that's running Mac OS 12 (which is still officially supported by Apple) that literally has a random chance of crashing the browser every time you close a window. The people who work at Apple today are some of the most incompetent and moronic software engineers in the world.

Jesus frick, as much as I am glad he's basically settled for life in the career sense, he looks extremely autistic on his Instagram.
I think he might be a literal IQfycel, you can see the autism on his eyes.

Hope he meets a 4/10 BPD thot that fricks him up and makes him wake up to his potential.

nightmares are literally our psyche's way to prepare us for something we fear.
maybe you should consider gitting gud.

It only ever happens when I'm working on a bug I can't find the cause for, or am working on a feature I can't figure out how to implement, or something like that.
The nightmares actually have helped me come up with solutions at times.

ok, then it means the simulation is working exactly as intended.
          including helping you find solutions.

i dont dream in code, mainly bc i smoke marijane, and that kills your dreams.
          sometimes litrerally.
thats mostly because i dream about shit i always wanted but will never have, and end up depressed as frick.
i actually enjoy my nightmares when i get em.
im something of a rehabilitated adrenaline junkie.
