are you a roastie? are you literally this moronic? what men want from women is loyalty compassion and sympathy. the former and latter especially.
            >women dump men for crying
            >women lie and cheat and divorce rape
these are what men dont want.
            getting sex is easy.
its women who, rather than want sex, want men to not have sex. its a form of control for them. if they didn't want to have the sex they would be fine with men cheating, and lo and befricking hold they are especially fine with men cheating since they are more likely to frick a man wearing a ring. but most women unsatisfied with her mans gibs will be upset if he goes to a prostitute despite the fact that she holds no loyalty or sympathy or empathy for him in the reverse scenario.

Are you still having trouble computing this because there are too many words? I'm saying that if a woman isn't capable or willing to give the above things then having sex with her is no different than having sex with a prostitute. It's even worse if she doesnt want kids because children and grandchildren are like the only beings women can realistically care for, but only so far. You pretty much have to hope for a woman who was raised single or experienced a bad divorce in childhood and doesn't want that for her children. get her pregnant immediately, and then she's invested in the children and wont feel tempted to trade up. otherwise men may as well pay a prostitute for sex and a nip for lap pillow and head pats.

Don't believe me? think this is all schizo shit from incel cope? look at incel media roastie. it's full of strong women who exhibit these masculine traits of loyalty, self sacrifice, determination, and willingness to endure. To women things like a sword and shield aren't much more than fashion accessories 90% aren't interested in. they dont see a gun as a way to level the playing field for them but a scary thing that needs to be banned from everything except daddy gubmint. they're shallow greedy cowards.

Container: One or more processes running in a namespace such that they have a custom view of the filesystem, processes, network interfaces, etc that is not the same as the host's. In the extreme case the container processes share nothing with the host except that they run on the same kernel.

Container image: The disk image of a filesystem that is mounted in a namespace and then used for a container.

Dockerfile: A file that describes to the docker CLI how to build a container image.

      Anonymous

      >Container image: The disk image of a filesystem that is mounted in a namespace and then used for a container.
This is where I lost myself. The dockerfile itself sound simple enough because it's like a blue print telling the VM how to run the damn thing right?
Dockerfiles make Docker image, but i don't get the definition of image?

It's a method of standardizing software/applications by virtualizing and isolating the underlying operating system and environment required to run them into containers.

With Docker, we don't need to worry so much about what environment you're running your applications in and if something fails you can generally just restart it. I hear that not so long ago this was a huge fricking headache for IT.

Ahh so essentially the docker is a thing to make it easier to manage the services right? Make it easier to deploy and run on different environment?
Conceptually speaking, Do I understand this correctly?

        Anonymous

        >The dockerfile itself sound simple enough because it's like a blue print telling the VM how to run the damn thing right?
There are no VMs involved in this discussion.

        >but i don't get the definition of image?
An image is a collection of files. Could be as simple as a single tarball containing all the files, which is what systemd-nspawn etc uses.

In Docker's case, an image is a bunch of layers, and each layer is effectively a tarball containing a bunch of files. The layers are all flattened into one bunch of files when creating a container with that image. They designed it this way so that when you use COPY / RUN / etc to modify the image, the modifications are saved as patch layers. This means that if you have multiple image builds that all share the first N commands (eg you're developing a binary so you're constantly changing the binary that you COPY as the last step, but everything before that is the same as before), the build can reuse the first N layers and save time.

docker image is like the iso file
dockerfile is how you setup the vm, the os
it's good for development in that you don't have to install a macos/windows on other machines just to test whether your linux program that you wrote will run on macos/windows

Are applications like that sandboxed and always able to run 10 or 1000x with the same syntax merely specifying directories, port forwards, non default networking and so on? They're not.

No one says you have to use Windows with WSL. This works on podman, docker or even k8s on linux. The one time install requirements for the "plartform" docker podman k8s and so on run on are as easy or not as whose distribution you want to use. It can all be completely preinstalled already ready to use.

      >it makes it easy to deploy your application to any system!

Docker on windows is a joke. The whole idea of docker was that you don't need virtual machines to run to replicate the environment across systems. Yet windows runs linux containers in a virtual machine, defeating the entire purpose.

    >Dockerfile
This is the instructions first run on start-up which basically tells the docker what to do! Think of this as POST for a computer.
    >Container Image
This is the file, the image, which contains all the applications, files and systems that it's meant to run, think of this as the windows installer file.
    >Container
This is the space which the dockerfile will run it's instructions in, install the image file into and contain the system within! You can think of this a a window folder, which will have everything inside the Container image installed and CONTAINED inside of it! Meaning the container (folder) whil e being on your computer, doesn't interact with anything outside it's folder. It's solely contained within in it, which makes this very scalable as you can deploy the same image file on multiple computers and avoid incompatibilities.

Best I can do. Alternatively, just watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gjnup-PuquQ

containers are a step forward but they are not secure. Its trivial to break out at least all the articles on sandboxing warn using docker for this. VM is a lot better though its a pain in the ass resource wise. If you have something thats potential maleware use a VM otherwise a container is fine if you need a special build env.

Basically, rather than making a script that will install your dependencies and software, you do it in a docker file. You can then move the container around with esoteric commands and pipelines.

I understand docker but not perfectly how it relates to Kubernetes, besides the fact that you deploy Docker images on Kubernetes. It seems you need many more resources other than Docker images on a Kubernetes cluster to be able to run stuff, so Docker seems just a small part of the picture there.
    Any insight/resource on this?

    >dockerfile
Isn't it just a file with the commands to run an image?
    >docker image
A read-only version of the service. You can make your own but once you make one it's locked like that. Therefore you can easily replace it, duplicate it, or throw it away with no issues, since all you need to make it again is the command.

Docker can indeed be a bit confusing at first, but once you grasp the basic concepts, it becomes much clearer. Let's break it down:

Docker: Docker is a platform that enables developers to package applications and their dependencies into containers. These containers can then be easily deployed and run on any machine that has Docker installed, regardless of the environment.

Dockerfile: A Dockerfile is a text document that contains all the commands a user could call on the command line to assemble an image. Using a Dockerfile, you can specify the environment, dependencies, and commands needed to build your application. It essentially serves as a set of instructions for Docker to build a Docker image.

Docker Image: A Docker image is a lightweight, standalone, and executable package that includes everything needed to run a piece of software, including the code, runtime, libraries, environment variables, and configuration files. Images are created using Dockerfiles and can be shared and reused across different environments.

To simplify, think of Docker as a way to package your application and its dependencies into a portable container, Dockerfile as the recipe for building that container, and Docker images as the actual containers that can be run anywhere Docker is installed.

Once you get hands-on experience with Docker, it becomes much clearer, so don't be discouraged if it's a bit overwhelming at first!
