Being gender-ambiguous is intriguing and stimulating. Being yet another transgender cut from the same cloth as every other green-haired fat boobless acne woman is fricking boring.

      >gender ambiguous
Naw I'm fricking tired of talking about gender and all that crap.
Troons and 'woke' junk will all go the way the of the hippie and become a joke within the next ten years

        >Naw I'm fricking tired of talking about gender and all that crap.
When you are gender-ambiguous you don't have to talk about it. It's just something you are. Look at Bowie in the early '70s, he didn't hold a symposium saying "Hello I'm an ambigender genderfluid queer pansexual space alien blah blah," which would have been fricking tedious. He just did what he did and it was great. It's the ambiguity that makes it interesting, when you start slapping explanatory labels on everything like a Ben Garrison cartoon it immediately gets tiresome.

The sorrow of Sigi F., the new novel announced in the summer by successful author Lucas Rijneveld, will not be released. The author promises another book for 2024.

"Dear readers, in consultation with Lucas Rijneveld, we announce that The Sorrow of Sigi F. will not be released. Another book is forthcoming. As soon as we have more information, we will report it here."

With this concise message, publishing house Atlas Contact announces that the long-awaited new novel by Rijneveld, which was supposed to be released in June but was postponed to the autumn, will ultimately not be published. The Sorrow of Sigi F. was announced in the summer catalog as a sparkling and intriguing narrative about a human child growing up in a nest of ravens, a book about homosexual feelings, 'about being different or longing for it. Full of witty and spirited conversations with the mother raven who calls herself a literature lover, film connoisseur, and art critic, and the father raven who is a Freudian psychoanalyst.'

The writer decided to withdraw the book but promises a new novel that will be published next year. The publisher also does not yet know what it will be about. "Rijneveld writes continuously and works on several projects at the same time," says Vé Bobelyn, director of VBK Belgium, which represents Atlas Contact in Belgium. "It is at their request that the book is withdrawn; he has not revealed anything about the new book yet. Rijneveld is a great talent, and the publishing house has decided to respect his choice. If he prefers to come with another book, we will follow him in that."

Rijneveld previously made a name for themselves with their poetry collections Calfskin and Phantom Mare, and their novels The Evening Is Uncomfortable and My Dear Favorite. The English translation of the first one, The Discomfort of Evening, was awarded the International Booker Prize. For My Dear Favorite, Rijneveld received the very first Boon Prize for fiction and non-fiction. There is also no exact timing for the new book yet, except that it will be released in the course of 2024.

The quotation has male pronouns and the article referencing the quotation uses "they." Not sure why, since I don't think MLR has ever even requested "they" pronouns.

          >Not sure why
because the person writing the article wanted to say she, but they can't get away with it the way gays on here do

she did for a while, lamenting the fact that dutch doesnt have a gender-neutral pronoun, then switched to "zij" and now she wants to be called a "hij" lol

As a corollary to the rule, "to find who rules over you see who you can't criticize" follow the rule, "art lauded by the ruling paradigm is not worth paying attention to." Anything produced by trannies, gays, and bipoc artists is inherently suspect in these times because of the disproportionate and dobsonary praise they receive.

imo his (whatever) prose style is very fine but his continual use of shock content gets old fast. It feels like he's overcompensating by putting in nazi pedophile bestiality in every other scene.
