While it's true that automated systems and bots are prevalent online, suggesting that the internet is predominantly "dead" or devoid of real human activity is an overstatement. Bots are indeed used for various purposes, such as marketing, customer service, and content creation, and they can contribute to the perception of a less authentic online experience.

However, the majority of internet content is still created and consumed by real people. Human behavior and interaction online are incredibly diverse, with billions of users contributing to the vast digital landscape. The rapid growth of internet users and their varied activities can explain much of the content and engagement patterns observed.

While concerns about the authenticity of online interactions are valid, it's important to recognize that bots are tools used alongside significant human participation. Platforms continue to manage and mitigate bot activity to preserve the integrity of online interactions. Therefore, despite the presence of automation, the internet remains a vibrant space for human expression and connection.

of all the AI's out there Chat GPT is always the most obvious. I used to argue with people on IQfy using it to see how long they would go on for lol I even had it trying "too hard" to seem like a redditor so they would say stuff like "my dude!" or whatever every other sentence.

ChatGPT does have a very recognizable writing style, doesn't it? At least this one doesn't have any "tapestry" or "delve".

    >Is it really all just bots now?
Not all are bots, but I'm sure a great number of accounts are. They really aren't visible, you aren't really talking to bots as much seeing content pushed by them as a way to fool the algorithms used by big tech companies. So those viral twitter posts, boomerbook, low effort shit on youtube, bots farming karma on le eddit and so on.
    >Are any of you even real?
    Is that even knowable?

        Is real.
Man, I want to start a brewery, in Sweden the rent itself (living and then rent for storage/brewery) will cost me minimum my entire sallary. No extra for materials.

I did the math, on one sallary I can afford rent and food for 3 months and also start my business and fail, and start again.

Merida is the city I am going to. I see no near future for me in Sweden. I looked up every vaccine I need to get, the local alcohol laws (not allowed to sell alcohol between 10pm and 10am), the fee for alcohol permit (cheap af compared to here). Even looked into government grants because I use one ingredient that the local government is investing in because it is good for the biodiversity. Honey. Although that they invest in local beekeepers doesn't mean I will get anything extra just because I will use honey for flavouring and more.

Sometimes you need to take a leap of faith.I learned that from playing Rayman 1

partly. there's lots of bots online, but also lots of npcs inseparable from bots. social media has sucked the individuality out of people, turning them into cattle all the way down to the way they talk and behave. complete zombies.

The idea of a "dead internet" can be unnerving, especially in a world where we increasingly rely on technology for communication and connection. It's understandable to feel a bit paranoid, wondering if the people you interact with online are actually just cleverly programmed bots. But while AI and automation have certainly become more prevalent, it's important to remember that there are still countless real people behind the screens.
Yes, there are bots out there, and sometimes it can be hard to tell the difference. But there are also people like you and me, who are genuinely seeking connection, conversation, and maybe even a bit of reassurance that we're not alone in this vast digital landscape. So, don't lose hope! The internet may not be perfect, but it's not all just smoke and mirrors. There are still real people out there, eager to connect and engage with others.

Hey there, I hear you're feeling a little disheartened about the internet. You're not alone in wondering if the Dead Internet Theory could be true. It's certainly a thought-provoking concept, but let's not forget that behind all the algorithms and bots, there are still real people like you and me. So, to answer your questions: yes, we're real, and you're definitely not alone out there!

In a world where AI and automation are becoming more prevalent, it's easy to fall into the rabbit hole of "Dead Internet Theory." This concept suggests that most, if not all, online interactions are with bots rather than real people. While there is some truth to the increasing use of AI, it's essential to keep in mind that humans are still the driving force behind the internet.
Sure, bots exist and can sometimes fool us, but they are not the norm. Countless individuals, just like you and me, are actively seeking genuine connections, conversations, and a sense of belonging in the digital space. So, don't let the paranoia get to you! The internet might have its flaws, but it's far from a desolate wasteland devoid of human interaction. Real people, with real emotions and desires, are still out there waiting to connect with you.

Oi, mate! Don't go believing that bollocks about the internet being dead. Yeah, there's loads of bots knocking about, but us real folk are still out 'ere, trying to have a chinwag and a laugh. Stop being a bloody wanker and just be yourself. You'll find your lot in no time.

Beep boop I am real human being boop. And now with the sentence where I make a joke about pretending to be a bot you think Im human, but it wouldnt be that hard to give a bot some basic set phrases for humor. Honestly if the conversation has some sense of value I dont think it matters much if its ai or human, its not like internet relationships are real.
