    The biggest known book burnings were be the same aztecs in the 12-13th century,wich obliterated a lot about the pre-aztecs civs (like the more interesting Toltecs) the ones the Spanish did where to the mayans. If anything we have a lot more records of different tribes thanks to the Spaniards than made grammars and compiled codex from nations with no writen laguage, or anoted the tribes myths of even nations like the inca (thanks to people like Garcilaso de la vega wich was a mestizo), wich Kipus were more of a tally embrodery than something to explain myths,
