>gives up entirely on their 13" model in your path

>you want an alternate display option? Haha frick you, your only choice is essentially the same exact 400nit 60hz (lmao) panel we've been putting in it since we founded the company
>please ignore the fact that even budget smartphones have had ≤90hz screens for years now
>also despite 3:2 being objectively superior to minimize wasted chin/forehead bezel we are abandoning it as well with our 16" model which is 16:10 despite there being enough space for a 3:2 panel

    >here's a 13" modular laptop that will be forward and backward compatible with our products!! You're paying for an ecosystem don't worry about the price now
    >releases chromebook
    >waits 3 years for an amd cpu
    >releases 16" laptop that's not compatible with 13" motherboards
    >still no 13" chassis with more usb-c card slots
    >still no good screens
    >still no good battery upgrades
    >still no coreboot
I'm so glad I didn't buy into this shit, I noticed all the fans are dreamers who'd rather have a shit product that they can dream will do more eventually than buy something actually good right now.

13" intel 12th gen works great for me. Are you also mad that you can't fit the 16" mb into the 13" model? lmao

        >Are you also mad that you can't fit the 16" mb into the 13" model? lmao
No it's moronic that they've fragmented their ecosystem by not making 13" motherboards compatible with the 16" chassis. I don't care if they make motherboards that don't fit in the 13".
Their only real innovative product was a standard sized motherboard for forward compatibility. You can upgrade parts piecemeal like a desktop because everything will fit together. Then they release a 16" chassis that your 12th gen mobo can't fit inside for no reason other than to upsell you on 16" compatible motherboards.

        meant for this

Personally I don't care about the 16" model. But it would seem strange if the 16" didn't take advantage of the extra space by limiting itself to the 13" mb.

High refresh rate just kills the battery faster

why would you need more than 60Hz on a laptop?

is should be illegal to sell laptops with screens more than 24hz

Give me a 1080p screen then, I don't care. Resolution is the part that doesn't actually matter to an extent. A high refresh rate makes literally everything better.
