    >go outside and get a job
    >"We don't take applications here, please go online"
    >go home and apply online
    >algorithm filters your application if you're not a woman

I went to 10 places over the weekend. Only one of them accepted applications in person, women work all the stocking and cashier jobs. They don't want men working these positions. I need to go back to school, that's all that will help (maybe). I have 5 years of experience doing operating and labor, all the jobs are overseas now. Last company laid me off. Thanks for nothing.

      >women work all the cashier jobs
having women be the face of a company naturally attracts more customers. So I get that.
They could easily have the men behind the scenes though.

i don't think anyone cares what sex the cashiers are

          No, they do, trust me.
Picture it in your head right now: there's a BIG difference between a cute young girl saying "that's not where you tap your card, the thing's up here", and a bored bearded 30-year-old saying the same thing. One is rude, and the other isn't. One will generate complaints, and the other will not.
In my experience, though: 90% of back-of-house is still men. They're TRYING to hire women: that's just to keep the ratio closer to normal. They quit soon after, though: so the efforts are meaningless.

it doesn't matter what you picture because in real life no one is going to the grocery store for that and doesn't give a shit they are there for groceries

On a base conscious level, yeah.
But deep-rooted in your mind, in everyones mind, they prefer the soft-feminine voice. Yes even gaybois.

            >it doesn't matter what you picture because in real life
Bruv, you DIDN'T picture it, though.
The cute girl gets to go through her shift successfully, over-and-over, because people think she is "kind and personable" (even if she's not).
The bored bearded 30-year-old gets fired or re-assigned because the stuck-up 50-year-old women think he has "an attitude" (read: he's confident and doesn't take shit, and women HATE that if he isn't good-looking).

So, over time: you get more female cashiers, and less male ones. It isn't even a "woke" thing: even if a supermarket was ENTIRELY focused on performance and bottom-line (Costco is a good example of this, because I work there. They REALLY don't give a shit, there's two HR people for hundreds of employees): they will STILL end up hiring almost-entirely female cashiers on a long-enough time-span.

this doesn't happen but when i was a cashier i moved to stocking because i wanted to. i think men just don't like doing gay shit like cashiering.

I worked a retail job as a cashier and there was a cute coworker who worked alongside me and got yelled at by some old lady (obviously bitter at her aging). But brobot this just isnt true.....

Are there no factory jobs in your area? Every machine shop I've worked at has been over 80% male and they've all had 'hiring urgently' signs up for years.

I have a job, but I also have severe adhd and the combination of both is tormenting me because I struggle to be productive and burn out on things intensely quick when the novelty runs out and my dopamine-lacking brain bottoms out

Stop jerking off, try reading writing talking

I don't find much of that helpful but I am jerking off a lot less thankfully, probably going to make it a rare or never if I can help it. I have a picture of someone in my mind who I want to be, and they dont rough up their dick on the daily.

But fundamentally you need to understand my brain's dopamine is constantly far under normal values people function at. It's so difficult to get up and get the ball rolling on anything when you have zero dopamine. I'm not upset usually, just bored with so many things and seeking crumbs of internet content. I know I'm my own biggest problem, I prefer it to an external source, but if it were so easy I'd just not. In that way, I should be treated like an addict, where it's not so simple as "just stop" and "just do the right thing"
