we're all just neurotic about efficiency and bloat. in perfect world, everything you just named would only be around 1GB combined.

The whole IQfy is just one big exaggeration.

    >8 tabs open
Because people don't close tabs. I don't know how web browsers can even be used with hundreds of tabs open.
    Also extensions.

chrome has a drop down button with a search
opera lets you drag the tab bar down and show a thumbnail
both of them let you hover over tabs to see a thumbnail.
and every browser lets you open up multiple windows.
and Windows lets you see thumbnails.
and when you have a lot of windows Windows will show a list of windows.

But what's the point when you can just close the tabs? People have 100+ tabs open but they never come back to them.

Tabs aren't loaded unless used so they don't really hit system resources.

If people open 100+ tabs but never even access them then it's even worse than I thought.

          Anonymous

I doubt anyone accesses 100 tabs at the same time so most of them are not going to be loaded even if it's not the same tabs all the time, not sure what your point is.

            Anonymous

It means the tabs are unloaded at some point, which I've seen on mobile but I haven't seen that on desktop so far, even with 30 tabs. Or if they're unloaded, the page isn't completely refreshed so they're still in RAM somewhere. Dunno.

            Anonymous

I assume if anyone gets up to 100 tabs a lot of them must be fairly old and they're just saving their session. When you open the browser it's only going to load tabs that you use and maybe pinned tabs in addition to that I think.

Nocoders and "minimalistic" autists don't realise that browsers need a lot less RAM than they think. They will see chrome taking 1GB of RAM when there's nothing else running and create a new a rant thread on IQfy blaming pajeets and Black folk when it's just the OS deciding not to waste RAM.
