No no no, this question is relevant to me. I have education but a HUGE gap in my resume due to being a NEET, I'm talking years. How the frick am I supposed to cover that up?

Why do employers care that much about gaps in resumes?

I don't know but it's making my life hell.
          >you passed the technical interview but we won't hire you, you've been out of work too long
          >out of work even longer now
          >repeat

I'm unironically going to suck it up and look for call center jobs now since my chances of finding employment at what I studied and took certs for are nil.

I was about to do it since it was so hard but I got hired just before I started sending faking the resume and graduation papers

No but I know people who did and had no consequences.
Most do 'white lies' like stretching your work experience to fill gaps, or say you worked abroad in Argentina in FAKESTUFF S.A. as a delivery guy for a year. No one will care.
I knew of one who lied about being an accountant. He said he didn't have his degree yet but had done all the work, all 4 years, because he "owed a bullshit social justice course he wasn't about to spend money on". He got hired as a Junior Accountant.
Master Bullshitter that lad, he could sell you a bridge if he wanted to.
Also give source on that navel, I want to lick it.

Pretty much this. People "stretch the truth" or do stuff like lie about how long they worked for a company or the type of stuff they did on work site. Rather just straight up make shit up

I stretched how long I worked in certain jobs but in time I'll remove them from my CV since I don't have a gap any more (or at least nothing huge)
I also lied about how well I did in Uni, that one may come back to bite me one day but no one's ever said anything so who knows

No one gives a single shit about your uni records after you've been employed for a while. No one probably checks them even when applying to your first job after uni.

i never sent a cv in my life
i just go into a company or factory, look for anyone in charge of anything and say what i know to do and how and always got a job if i was skilled in it
but first i phone in and ask if they are hiring or interested in hiring
its mostly machine or production work, so i ask to look around with a guide and they get one, i ask questions mostly and they set the rules and pay and low pay timeframe
when talking with the ones in charge, i say things that let them know i can work and know how to work
it ends up with me telling them that ill let them know

Are you a 70 year old boomer or is this how things still work in thirdie countries?

        Anonymous

the things work now when loads of educated and skilled people left for Germany
its the skill and knowledge that matters a lot more than any school
even paid training certificates are more effective than diplomas
shit i even taught 5 children to work on a lathe without any prior knowledge about machining and now they earn more working their jobs on a lathe, some computerised lathe work, than i could ever hope for
i just had it in my garage
my brother in law or whats the name, went to germany too, he drives far better than me, but he has no certificates to operate a forklift for example
        i learned that at 16
not only that, but learned the heavy duty one, one that can rotate and flip the forks in circle
learned the digger as well, just by having people teach me, no pay, no certificates, just do the fricking job and get paid shit and have someone vouch for you that you did just that
        thats all it takes
thats how indians get to sign their name on a rols royce or bently or austin martin inspection plack
i know many cases when the kids i taught to work on a lathe got entangled with engineers as they call them, they have 0 clue on how to run a machine or create a piece required
bullshit jobs are a thing, they came from amerika
