Also silicon valley hiring practices are insane. Not to defend Elon, becuase he went too far...but cleaning house at Twitter, and presumably many other places the right thing to do. These companies are notorious for hiring a team of 35 people to be a department that should be 10 people at most.

This would work if it were real. The problem is that clueless corporate suits have literally no metrics other than lines of code written, so at the end the absolute worst workers who unnecessarily rewrite core parts and make them much worse (see, taskbar in Windows 11) are the ones who get to stay because it looks like they worked the hardest.

Some of the most important programmers in a team spend time improving others' programming ability. A person like that writes relatively few lines, but is the source of significant amounts of quality work

If the important programmer is helping others to the point where the important programmer's output is greatly reduced, then either there isn't enough work to go around or the work they're doing has no immediate importance. The programmer's skill isn't relevant in this case.

Happens when you have a saturated talent pool and everyone has connections. You end up with bloated teams with everyone trying to justify their existence there. Same with television and film it seems. They used to get by with a team of 3 writers for a show but now it's 10 writers and the story is shit

            >Ford Motor Company
            >wanting to raise wages of their employees
We are talking about Henry Ford, the same guy who labeled FDR as 'communist' due to his reforms. What I can say is that the Dodge v. Ford case is no such easy thing as "lmao capitalist guy good israelites bad" it's more like the israelites (Dodge brothers) undermining Ford's ability to control its business and easying the setup of the rival company Dodge got to become. Just the usual corporate war dude, or rather the scamming of corps, after all Dodge didn't exist up until that point in time. Again, the ruling that got spawned as a result of the case is rarely, if ever, used, as it's not measurable whether you are actually maximizing the wealth of your shareholders. And no, Ford wasn't trying to increase wages, he specifically wanted to curb the Dodge brothers, impede the creation of Dodge corporation and re-buy the shares Dodge brothers had on FoMoCo, as they could somewhat dictate what Ford Motor Co. would/shoud/could do within the market.

Thanks for reading my blogpost, TL;DR you are full of shit.

They have a fiduciary obligation to their shareholders. An executive team is managing the owners' assets on their behalf. Of course the law places stipulations on how they do so. But the way you represented the law is incorrect, though many executives interpret it that way.

It's more about the fact that the shareholders will and have sued for things like these.
Law does not exist based on the word of it, but on the precedent of it, in the common law system.

            Anonymous

Yes, that's how the enforcement happens. But there is a Fiduciary Appointment Act which defines fiduciary relationship and obligation pretty clearly. That's what I was referring to.

            Anonymous

Sure, but in common law, the letter of the law has 0 bearing except until a precedent is established.

            Anonymous

Fiduciary relationship is not a common law issue. It's a statuatory issue. It establishes a common standard of conduct on the part of agents managing a primary's assets, and so if the agent violates the terms of that relationship as established by statute, there is grounds for a lawsuit. I don't know where you got the idea that fiduciary relationship just appeared in common law one day, but that's nonsense. Common law is something that grows around statute, not in a vacuum. As for your statement about 0 bearing, lol. lmao, even. Talk about a Catch 22.

same but it does not matter to anyone until it's past the deadline and suddenly it's p0
I'm currently dealing with jeet moronation, they had to write some linux driver + user-space lib for some usb gpio card (like advantech are doing) and they had 2 years to deliver something, it was due for october last year, they sent us an archive with an hello world inside, they have nothing else as the dev never really started, they faked demos and reports for two years... btw, we're still workign with them as the business unit is full of absolute morons.
        >They are fine to try and replace us white men for 1/10th the pay but they'd get 1/100th the result.
and in the end they still have to pay us to fix everything on top of whatever they sent to the jeets and whatever penalties they had to pay to the clients...
I used to hate on hr stacies for their moronation but business is far far far more moronic, the world would be a better place if engineers were also in charge of whatever these smoothbrains are doing.

I think maps was broken on purpose. There's a setting in maps where they offer more features and a better experience if you turn on the option that allows them to save and track your browsing history from Search. The two programs have nothing to do with one another but this is designed to force your hand by breaking the app that people need in order to function day to day

They pay more than 30% of their revenue to be default on search apps, they're not going nowhere. There's so much misinformation and people too gullible that the first page could just be ads and no one would notice.

just threat every company which has the foreign majority of its workforce, including subcontractors, as a foreign company. Google moved positions to India? Now it's an Indian company, together with every limitations that put on a foreign company, operating on american soil, including software/algorithms export restrictions.

      >enshittification of Google
Jewgle with their jeet CEO have been enshitting the internet for almost 10 years since troony Trump was elected.
please support the other search engine instead of israelitegle.
      Yandex >>>> israelitegle.
Bing is just as bad israelitegle but at least it's not israelitegle.

    Yeah?
Who do you think is going to actually keep it working in the areas that matter, when actual true core employees are moved to india (not the """core"""" marketing and troony flag organizers) the company will collapse quickly and in its place will rise whatever replaces it.
