    Redpill me on this book
I've only read 2 books woman authorettes (wuthering heights (great) and to the lighthouse house (very good, but I filtered myself by reading it too slowly when it's meant to be read in an afternoon))
So far my hit rate is 100% and I dont want to risk it going lower unless someone gives me a good reason

Its fantasy and despite being better than most fantasy it is no where near Bronte or Woolf. Speedboat would be a good followup to those two.

A fractured narrative exploring the failings of communication in the modern world reflecting the how our present affects our relationship to our past and the failings of memory along with the subtle largely implied metafictional fractured narrative reflecting the failures of communication and memory. And the most hilarious rape in all of literature, seriously, not chud/incel seethe, it is hilarious and thematic. The jump from Bronte to Woolf is about the as the jump from Woolf to Adler and they all had massive influence on things to come.

Not bad at all and pretty good. It's pretty abstract ans the fantasy is fairly subtle. it also doesn't have this cringe nu-age "le kickass feminist shoehorn" every current work of fiction seems to have.

It's too short. Granted, she has a good excuse by suffering from chronic fatigue, but the book is still too short. Ideally there'd be at least several more chapters exploring the world and actually interacting with the scant characters, instead of rushing straight through the ending. Still, I enjoyed it, would recommend to any anons interested in seemingly endless unknown worlds, architecture, and art.

Gotta agree, the ending came out of nowhere and seemed super forced. Also the need to explain the world's existence resulted in a super lame explanation.

i liked it very much at the start, then it loses a bit of focus. and the ending is pretty bad, it feels rushed and dumb, it's a huge letdown. for some reason the policewoman becomes the focus of the story, it didn't fit at all idk. and there's a weird scene after all ends where some other policeman starts ranting to someone else about how great and awesome she is, it was fricking weird

overall it's ok i guess. a pity because i think the first third of the book or so is really good, great concept, well executed and well written

Not even close. It wasn't a bad book. I liked the setting a lot and the beginning was really cool, but I hated how it turned into a generic extremely predictable "mystery" novel that needed to explain everything to its intended audience of moron tiktok addicted women. It was short easy to read though and I did enjoy it for the most part, the author just ruined everything good she had going with it.
