I really like how you went out of your way to make 3 grammatical errors. Surely someone will call you an Indian.

      >3 grammatical errors
      There's only two
One really, because the other is the name of the director. Doesn't really count.

Heat is like an hour too fricking long. We don't need another scene of De Black and his gang sitting around a table, we don't need ANY scenes with Natalie Portman. If you only watch the shoot out scenes on youtube I would absolutely say you've seen this movie.

It is very boring. The shootout scenes are the only parts worth watching seriously. Pacino overacting is hilarious and sad.

          heat is boring

I recently watched it for the first time and , while I liked it, I agree it's boring at times. A "slow burn" has to lead up to something. It's way too long and many scenes weren't neccesary at all. The shootout was fantastic, though.

          I'd rather watch Resevoir Dogs.

this. Its runtime needs to be cut by about 40%, do away with the cringey soap opera scenes and just keep the action scenes and those important to the plot and its kino.

        Cut what specifically?
Every scene plays a role in establishing character motivations.

Example: Black guy cook in the diner. Without a prior two scenes of him getting hired and his wife getting him from the bar in misery, then his agreeing to be a last minute substitue driver for Niel is too convenient. Viewers like you would start calling it "contrived". So Mann includes the scenes to show you reason he goes with Niel, and you call it "soap opera".
Mature 10 more years then you can watch Heat. Its too adult for you.

watch LA Takedown... Heat could be that... Mann just needed to trim some scenes down. Too much talk, too little action

            Anonymous

Yet LA Takedown has nowhere near the level of critical acclaim, audience acclaim or staying power that Heat does. Why is that? Its because of the drama you seem to loath. Mann set out to make an epic LA crime drama. And he delivered.

money, its a tv movie ffs
the acting and the quality is evidently subpar
            the plot isn't

Every Peckinpah shootout scene is better than Mann's. In Heat they are in a crowded car getting shot from all directions and the driver is the only one who gets it. Mann just wants stuff to look cool. In Heat they literally stand in front of glass panels which break behind them as bullets magically pass through their Versace suits.

the only good thing with a heat thread is that you can post pics of great asses

(btw, I'd rate Ashley Judds ass a 4/10)

This is truly pitiful. I know IQfy has largely shit taste, but if you can't be interested in Heat's characters or their stories, beyond the action scenes, you shouldn't be on a film forum, or subject anyone to your shitty teenage opinions. Just stick to netflix, GoT, and marvel.
