Since you were persuaded to believe in theism based on rational arguments you are now susceptible to having your worldview shattered with a "better" argument. Such is the fate of those with no faith; you don't have a personal relationship with the God you believe in.
In the off chance you are being genuine, I urge you to watch this commentary after the debate.

I don't have faith, I know that God exists just as I know that 2+2=4
I don't put much weight on a personal relationship with God but I do pray to God and thank God when good things happen in my life
Anyway there has been a void in my mind for so long, that void is the atheistic worldview which seems as ridiculous as just hoping that 2+2 would happen to equal 5, and so hearing reasoning as to why it is possible to have an atheistic worldview in light of the cosmological argument (the most convincing argument for me) is very exciting

My recollection is that Sam Harris avoided the subject of the debate and Craig called him out on such while going back to actually argue his side. Harris delivered a lot of (standard) arguments for fedoras to clap along with and tried a weird pre-cancel culture "MY DEAR FRIEND RICHARD DAKWINS WONT EVEN APPEAR ON STAGE WITH YOU BECAUSE YOUR BELIEFS ARE EVIL" schtick but if you're not a fellow traveler it was all pretty flat. (Aside, it was obvious Dawkins avoided debating Craig because of what happened to Hitchens, who was exposed as using glibness and emotional tactics (i.e. the ironic evangelicalism,
preaching to the choir for which Nu Atheism, was known) in order to cover for a shallow understanding of the subject matter).

Craig gave well reasoned arguments why the universe must've had a beginning and carrols only response was "we can make a model of that" with no further elaboration.

          Anonymous

As if a model even matters; Carroll still needs to come up with a universe generating mechanism, which he can't. Positing a primordial quantum field or a multiverse just pushes the problem one step back without solving it. He employed good rhetoric, though, so midwits think he won hands down.

            >positing a primordial quantum field or multiverse just pushes the problem one step back without solving it

No it doesn't. Haven't watched the debate, but all the cosmological argument proves, if it is valid (which it isn't) is that there must have been some first cause. A primordial quantum field or a multiverse serve the purpose just as well as an omnipotent God.

            Anonymous

His argument is that the first cause must exist outside of creation. Primordial quantum soup is just another thing in creation. Where did the soup come from?

Sean told William 3 times that his own source said the universe did not pop into existence out of nothing. That was the big btfo. William has no response when his own source proves him wrong

Sean Carroll was deceptive and didn’t really debate him so much as argue that someone had built a model without a beginning, not that it’s accepted or even considered good, only that one existed.

I’ll grant you that Carroll was very well versed in the cosmology literature and clearly more fluent than Craig who isn’t a cosmologist.

Personally I could take Craig in a debate, but I happen to like him and also I’m not a professional quote maker so nobody cares what I have to say

Craig is very well versed in Anglican philosophy and science but I have found his weakness and could best him. He’s totally ignorant on two flaws in his system, and it’s partly to due with age and partly to do with his education and the zeitgeist he lives in. But it doesn’t change anything, he has two flaws.

Again, I like him quite a lot, and I’m personally not an atheist, but he’s just wrong, or atleast not fleshed out enough.

Not everyone can concoct a genuine smile on demand; if you can you might even be a psychopath. Is anyone genuinely happy to have a camera jammed in their face during an important photop? Have a little decorum; not everyone is socially relaxed, some are awkward.

Which is why photographers have nice little birdies for you to smile at. Also why they shoot 100 pictures instead of just one so you can select the one where you don't look like you are trying to act nonchalant while getting a prostate exam.

They do not represent a genuine state of happiness and joy
Americans will say that faking a smile actually makes you smile but that's only because Americans are autistic
Just like Americans are incapable of distinguishing sourness and bitterness because they all have the palate of children, so too are they incapable of distinguishing their emotions

Correction, you don't think at all.

I’ll be the first to say that Evola wasn’t always insightful. However it’s wonderful to see the irony in bullying people with interior intelligence knowing that statistically they breed more. And board overall is just people coping with being a genetic dead end so they come here and flaunt their supposed superior IQ and if anyone is lacking self awareness it’s someone posting on a board for basement dwellers while bragging how about their high IQ, which negatively correlates with having close personal relationships with other people.

There's no lack of self awareness here though,

You'll own an air conditioner one day don't worry. It may have to attach to a window but that's okay.

Look at the amount of pessimist philosophers Europe produced versus us. It’s having a higher trust society overall but still groveling in your own vomit. Ungrateful. Though I think the fact we have (or at least did) have a semblance of freedom of speech and a generally pro gun though I think that’s fading away because the elites worship Nordic model capitalism and all the onions trappings that come along with it, rather than letting people live and let live.

The problem with people like him is they make fairly abstract arguments that are disconnected from reality and then say "therefore, Jesus."
This is perhaps wonderful for those who only want a person who can play for their team in the arena. Yet it also invariably poisons the larger discussion, giving Christians bad ways of understanding their own structure of belief and giving others cartoonish understanding of what religion is and does.
It's okay to get into WLC but realize that even various arguments for the existence of God are already presenting horrendous category errors from the start. Real progress in religious understanding is made when you decipher why religious words and concepts are invoked, what is behind them, and why they must be endlessly expounded upon instead of proving they exist like some magic invisible teapot in the sky.

The thing is, when you have a society of people who spend their life being real all the time, it creates a fissure where it begins to break down and the cracks start to show where it’s readily apparent that one is interested in holding society to a greater standard and it becomes something where there is no prevailing general mood and everyone is wholly concerned with themselves and not the welfare of the whole.

His views are extremely unorthodox and while I respect him it really depends what you're interested in. He's not exactly a reliable representative of a tradition like you will find with other philosophers. Each book is really hos unique response to a debate in theology/ philosophy.

Reasonable Faith is the obvious starting point as it lays down his apologetic.
