How do we start a class action suit? The 2021 M1 MacBook Pro's are absolutely dumpster fires.

How do we start a class action suit? The 2021 M1 MacBook Pro's are absolutely dumpster fires. Mine recently just killed itself out of nowhere after only using it for a year and a half. No physical or liquid damage, perfect condition.
I looked it up and a huge amount of people have the same issue; logic boards just frying themselves. I sent it to a repair shop and they said it's unfixable. Thanks Apple, for putting out faulty hardware that can't even last 2 years.

literally what applecare is for ahmed
you walk into the store, pay a small fee and get a brand new replacement macbook.
of course this doesn't work if you bought the macbook from a punjabi gas station computer repair shop.

      >literally what applecare
      You're a literal subnormal, don't you?
You shouldn't have to pay extra for having glaring design issues fixed by the manufacturer, they should be doing it for free on their own vilition in fear of a class action lawsuit or a government penalty, but since that doesn't happen, or takes years to conclude, they abuse you by doing this shit.

Here you have your warranty bro.
          >inb4 this doesn't happen
This is the common warranty behavior in the US, the extraordinary situation is them honoring the warranty.

There's plenty of evidence from this happening over a 20 years period, from display cables breaking with normal use, hdd cables breaking by themselves, gpus who become desoldered from the board or something similar, keyboards that start malfunctioning with no signs of wear and tear, and a huge long list of more issues, every, single, year.

Since I started using mine with an external 4K monitor with fractional scaling, it has been extremely slow and noticeably warm. I need to restart every week otherwise the memory leaks make it lag

      >plugging in another monitor causes whole system to lag
this was not a problem for my HP G62 with first gen i5 and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5450 over a decade ago
that is artificial lag made by apploo to cuck iTODDLERS. utterly BTFO.

real fractional scaling isn't supported by MacOS. did you install something to make it work?

        Anonymous

No. I didn't install anything. I have something like pic rel but with a lot more options for my 4k LG, including 2560x1440 which is what I'm using. These settings are new but before they revamped settings I could pick Larger Text ... Default ... More Space, and I had some option before Default, I don't know what it was called, but it was the same res as the one I have right now, 2560x1440.

I'm also using fractional scaling for the Macbook screen itself instead of the default 2x scaling, because I like more space, but I was using it like that before I got the external monitor, and it wasn't an issue

My hard drive died recently, never had a single issue with it prior. Is a mid 2012 intel i5 64 bit, some suggest that it’s just some cable and not the hard drive. Have it run now on an HDD 1TB external hard drive, only drawback is it can’t install MacOs past El Capitan. But it’s now faster than before, lost all my data though which sucks. I am saving up for a new M3 MacBook Pro, though I don’t know if they are as robust as my old one.

      >some suggest that it’s just some cable and not the hard drive
It is a common failure on the A1278 chassis. Yes apple cannot engineer a fricking HDD cable.
