I am being strongly manhandled by my friends to sign up for one of these "cash apps"
I hate venmo due to it social aspect.
The rest of the apps, cashapp, zello, all look like scams to me. (low ratings, ads in app)

Is there a cash transfer app that I can use that does not have any stupid gimmicks, or a social media aspect?

I dont care about making anonymous payments, and I would rather link my cc and pay a fee rather than give these apps my bank account number, or debit card. Is there an app I can do just that with?

I just use a ledger system with my actual friends so we just buy each other stuff and net out our debts that way.

I think by "friends" he means hookers.

huh? you'd rather send someone e-bucks on credit with multiple percentage based fees instead of just giving someone the exact value in cash, check, wire, money order, etc?

yes, i would rather pay 10% fee to use a secure credit card rather than give some app direct deposit and withdrawal rights.

I doubt it, you don't even have to use your real name with them, you can put anything in the name and address field and it'll usually work (some websites will check if the addresses is real themselves).
The charges on your debit card just show up going to privacy.com.

Also I've been using them for a year or two and my credit score hasn't taken a hit in that time.

Venmo works entirely without a phone. It's actually very nice.
    Zelle is unusable for sending.

you can use a credit card on vennmo. My mom do that to send me money when she was broke when I was a drug addict.

Zelle is based as frick. Fee free for my bank, instant transfers, integrates with almost all of my social circles banking apps already. Its good stuff.

Since Venmo and cashapp are predominant in the field you have little choice. If you sign up with a smaller provider none of your friends will have it. I personally use Venmo when I have to. It’s annoying but do have the option to make all of your transactions private, which eliminates the social aspect.

For cash app get a bitcoin lightning wallet and send them bitcoin and they can sell it in cashapp if they wish for usd. For venmo they do basic crypto but they have to activate it. I made my sister set it up so I could send her paypal usd

literally anyone can drain your account if they have your bank account number because it's how checks and ACH transfers work, it's pretty wild, there's no security in place at all.
If you get a zelle request, you can approve or deny it.

They can, it's called fednow and it was recently introduced. The issue is that the chosen people hate it so there's a lot of fake negative bullshit around it (not helped by it's name)

No, it's for splitting lunch take-out bills and paying rent.
If I'm paying a stranger for something they're getting cashier's check because it's probably a car and there needs to be a paper trail, or it's cash transaction for some yard sale shit.

zelle comes by default with your bank account at any US bank, you don't have to sign up for anything new, just use that and tell your friends to frick off.

Go back to checks. Most bank apps have mobile check deposit now. Write your homie a check for 3.49 for the two McDoubles he just paid for and he can just scan that shit and deposit it.

Just be careful of Zelle, that shit is dangerous as frick. There is NO consumer protection like with credit and debit cards. Hence why all the banks agreed to join hands on it. Your account can be wiped overnight with 0 you can do about it.

Just use Zelle. It's not even an app, it's just a service that usually comes included with your Bank app so you don't have to install an additional app to send money.
