Actually, wholeheartedly agree. Linux is obviously superior in terms of an os, but frick the des all suck ass, and wms are for the truly autistic.

You'll still be able to play more games with it than if were on a Mac.
    Especially with proton.

I get you heard about linux and how ubuntu is a good entry point 12 years ago, but things have changed now OP. Use literally any other environment.

There are 200 distros in between ubuntu and arch, but yeah if you're using linux on a home PC you should probably be using a rolling release distro.

          >if you're using linux on a home PC you should probably be using a buggy, incomplete distro that updates every other day
          >but all the standard linux rules apply so no installing shit by double clicking or changing deeper settings from a GUI. We're all allergic to good user experience here
And this is why archgays deserve to get tossed into a volcano.

It's a better solution than snap packages for current software.

            Anonymous

No, it's not. If I want buggy messes that update every other day there's windows 10, and at least that has a UI for everything.
The main selling point of a linux desktop is stability. If your distro of choice doesn't provide that then it's worthless. Please understand that any linux distro is basically a tradeoff vs windows. You give away the good UX and windows only software and hope to get something of equal or greater value in return.

You use linux for unix, if you just want to play some games and watch youtube without diving any deeper, unironically just stick with windows. It's not for you.

this, part of linux is still stuck in DOS times where you had to use some command line to for everything. Android figured it out, never ever i went into command line there, maybe to set some advanced shit that nobody needs, but in normal loonix you need the command line to set almost everything. Get over it loonixtards its 2024 already, ditch the text based input, come to GUI only system.

There's nothing critically broken with Ubuntu from my POV. I use it every day for work. Some people prefer Mint but I don't care as much.

you shouldn't use or support ubuntu, they have included some spyware shit that was on by default for awhile. even if they removed it after the fact it just shows you can't trust them, people don't give utorrent the same respect so why should ubuntu get it
