When you think you are all out and your body is at its physical limit, you are really only at about 40%. Goggins called it the 40% rule.

You can gain tremendous energy boosts by imagining someone watching you perform and trying to impress this person so immensely that he questions his own life decisions. Goggins called this „taking a soul“.

If you hyperfocus on one thing, you get stiff and inflexible in other areas. You need to find a balance. With Goggins it was running ultramarathons that lead him to being so stiff in his legs and hips that he could barely move them in any other direction.

These came from the top of my head from his book which I read like four years ago. I assume a lot more of what he talked about actually resonated more deeply and I can’t remember it consciously. All you snug elitists need to get your head out of your arse.

Honestly if you do not already have a navy seals-level of discipline those advices are downright useless. You will try to follow them and burn out in like 1 week

Didn't Goggins basically ruin his body and health by following the 40% rule? I remember reading somewhere that his back and joints are in shambles because of it

I haven't read his book but the cookie jar image is a good concept, there's probably a few interesting things to learn from him.

    >Goggins
I googled this name and apparently this dude is a mutt (so a typical american) who used to be a militarycuck. Why should I take this individual any seriously

Because instead of addressing his childhood trauma he took it all out on his body and flopped into prestigious role in society. See, there are other options besides shoveling food to fill the feelings hole.

Goggins basically shows the extreme any human can go to when they mentally push themselves. He's one of the few people who seriously managed to push their body to break before their mind did.
I don't think anyone should do what he does, but i do think that society would benefit from acting just a little bit more like Goggins.

Going through Navy SEAL Hell week three times is absolutely insane

Fat redditors who annoy you being on the other end of an imaginary spectrum from bloviating hucksters has no relation to literary value of any kind. This post is of extremely low quality.
