high frequency radio is generally not good for you and has varying effects on brain behavior and other weird side effects like sperm count and expressed sex of offspring. The problem is biologists are generally moronic and helpless also human experimentation is a nono and there is a ton of money in shutting down health concern studies over high frequency radio.

It's also a likely contender for the cause for tanking bee populations but that one is more dubious.

From a privacy perspective it is concerning since a lot of lawful intercept schemes in Europe and the US which are mostly spearheaded by BAE use the higher frequency bands especially mmwave to quite literally map structures you are in. The Schizos were not remotely wrong when they said cell towers and cell phones are spy devices. It is very lab viable and to my knowledge deployed tech in some areas.

I live near a newly built area and it's genuinely scary. From a hill you can spot at these massive antennas EVERYWHERE on top of every 5th residential building. All this for a shitty unstable connection that gets blocked by tree branches. This shit can't be financially viable, not to mention health concerns.

more bandwidth etc. means faster speed means more schizos can post online
but what schizos are complaining about are phased array antennas which kinda work like searchlights/spotlights focusing all transmission energy at connected devices and not wasting energy by broadcasting where no one is listening.
they think it fries their brain or something, government giving their own people cancer for fun, precisely tracking movements etc.

How exactly is it worse for you than 2g, 3g and 4g LTE? Hasn't 2g been discontinued so that the frequencies that it would get broadcast over can be used for 5g?

I used to think so, but considering US has completely dropped 2G and even 3G in favor of NEW AND SHINY 4G/5G with higher energy throughput and lower range, I'm convinced there's an ulterior motive.
Even if that motive is just corporate greed to push new devices (which is most likely at least the primary drive), it's still a concern for us consoomers.
There is no good reason we shouldn't be able to keep using old Nokia and Motorola flip phones. The money-laundering service providers just want to keep us on a lifeline for connectivity.

higher frequency means you can transmit more data with less bandwidth, the tradeoff is that it gets absorbed by obstacles easier
so you could say it is greed in that they want to be able to serve more data while paying for less frequency bands

          Anonymous

They're obsoleting 2g and 3g because they're insecure and have known exploits, and are easy for anyone to spoof ya dingus. But also I'm pretty sure 5g towers can fallback to LTE if need be, so much lower operational costs, needing them to run less hardware.

5G bad because number bigger. Same shit happens every time a new standard comes out, same thing happened with 4G.

Realistically analogue TV and radio transmitters are worse for you, they operate at low frequencies to allow a long range from a single transmitter, but they also operate at far higher power levels than 5G antennae. Part of it is probably that 5G is a high frequency, low power scheme, so it requires a lot of antennae fairly close together in cities, because 5G won’t go through buildings all that well. This means the antennae are visible, and people are actually aware of them, instead of the mobile transmitter just being attached to the nearest radio mast. Freaks people out. Wireless operates at 2.4GHz, which is the same frequency as your microwave, but people don’t freak out about it in the same way.

The concern some people have is that the higher frequency radiation is capable of causing cancer, and that testing hasn’t been done, which is a valid concern, but I feel the “effects” are overblown.

More realistically 5G will allow more accurate location tracking via cell towers, particularly in crowded cities. I imagine it’d also make it harder to catch IMSI spoofing where a fake cell tower is created to do a dragnet, because current mitigations of that rely on a known list of “real” cell towers and their location, and compares the current tower to the expected one to see if somethings dodgy, but with so many more small towers keeping track of them might be difficult. I don’t think this is an intentional goal of 5G, just a useful side effect (for the feds) of the more local scale of 5G towers.

I’m not really sure of the purpose of 5G though, it seems to offer little in terms of useful benefits for typical mobile use. 4G is already fast enough for the majority of cases.

You are a brainlet le heckin science worshipper and don't understand how anything works. Visible light doesn't have electromagnetic effects on your brain, radio waves, in fact, do. It's still a very grey (get it) area since like I said no one wants any research to be done on it and any research that is done leans towards high frequency radio being NOT good for brain activity.

what is the difference between 4G and 5G in this regard? is 4G safe and 5G deadly?

It's literally just the frequency bands of the radio head. Most 5G deployments still operate in the same frequencies that 4G did and it's only once you start into higher frequencies it becomes a concern. The effective received power is also important to consider, 5G uses substantially lower power transceivers than 4G but there are also more of them which is why average power in the radio spectrum in cities continues to climb.

    >>I'm convinced there's an ulterior motive.
There is, it's called 2G and 3G suck, are antiquated, and not worth maintaining anymore. They are hard to integrate and have cross compatibility for new VOIP and data packet implementations mainly because it is circuit switched among other things. It's also far far more vulnerable. Running 2G and 3G at this point is a genuine security risk despite all the attempts to improve it. 5G might literally glow and was partially built out purposefully to track you but skids and even 99% of LEO can't just middle man you with stingrays anymore on 5G like they could 3G and early 4G protocols.

why do we need 5G when 4G and LTE is more than enough 200+mbps at several kilometer range. hell, even 3G can do 25-50mbps.

the logical reason I can think of is that more triangulation for better tracker. 5G has shit range that it needs a lot of towers for only few hundred meters of range.

You're going to have a very hard time finding that info because, the telecom industry are the ones who fund the studies. Any negative finding are going to be buried, redacted, or written in such a way as to make the findings of no consequence. If you need proof of RF harms, I challenge you to search your area for a standard cellular tower, and read the RF warning signs at the base of the antenna. I have tree withing 10 minutes driving distance, and can confirm that they all have signage that warn of bioradiation hasards and that RF protective equipement must be worn by service personnel. Also remember that pharma tried to hide mrna side effects for 75 years. When industries stand to make billions of dollars regardless of the kind of technology, ethics go out the window. Thanks for the info pic.
