It's the modern day Pandora's box.
It will spy on you in ways, you haven't even dreamed of.
It will frick up transactions eventually and you will loose at the court.
It will take pictures of your 2/10 gf while she's brushing her yellowish teeth and popping her pimples.
Cancel the order before it's too late !!!.

What tasks do you plan to automate with it?

I intend to interconnect it with my masturbators so it can talk dirty to me and I can enjoy my long butt plug sections while half china is watching.

Probably email tasks and calendar events, fricking around with data in excel spreadsheets and formatting it, just basically doing all those autistic tasks that waste like an hour of my day. It only cost $199 and gave a year worth of perplexity for free which was $200 and I use that daily anyway

i think his point is that you spent $200 on something that doesn't seem to automate a whole lot for you

Right, I guess that makes sense if he's strapped for cash. Most people spend $200 at a bar or going to a restaurant.

      posting again

      what the frick is it

this is a standalone device that's basically a terminal for ChatGPT+proprietary APIs. you have a radio-style PTT and a rotating camera shutter with a small touchscreen. so instead of rooting around for your phone, you have a really tiny device that can be voice controlled and trained on pretty much everything you want it to do. the demo activities were removing watermarks in photoshop, calling an uber (bleauhg), and playing diablo 4. that's what the little camera is for, you let it record video of what you want it to do while telling it what to do, and it trains a script for you.

this seems like something for a very, very niche portion of the population. if you somehow have a ton of random shit that needs automation that can't be handled with existing programs, then yeah, it's great. but in what situation does that happen? none that i can think of. admittedly, i don't work in tech, but even then i can't think of anything in daily life that i would need this for either.

I looked it up. Stupidest thing I've ever seen. Really? Carry around a second mobile device because... it's too hard to use my phone? Braindead consumerist AI hype trash. LLMs will be built into phone assistants and I'll just use my Smart Watch if I'm really too lazy to take it out of my pocket. This is a product that's a solution to a problem that does not exist.

morono, all they need is to give it phone capabilities and a bigger screen when billions have bought it. It's a sneak attack agsinst lazy apple and moronic samsung.

I suspect it's intended to replace the mobile phone. There are two current competing visions for Phone 2.0; this, and Vision Pro. I think this one will probably be more successful, all they need to do is add more screen or a projector or something.
