Casey was trying to get debian stable to work on a very recent laptop. Kernel 5.6 or something

He made a mistake like any human being

Stick to a mainline release like kubuntu 24.04

Go ahead and explain, in technical terms, why Debian stable shouldn't run well on modern hardware. Stop parroting memes.

The stability comes from shipping old, well teste software.
This includes the kernel and drivers.
This means it ships an old kernel without the new laptop's drivers.

Based moron. I also wish the electrical engineers would stop changing the hardware interfaces.

He is currently trying out Fedora KDE, so clearly he sees some reason to bother.
    That reason being Microsoft pajeetware.

The "year of the Linux desktop" is a term pushed by wincucks because they can't cope with the fact that they are simply too dumb to use it. I personally don't know a single Linux user who wants Linux to be mainstream. We all know what happened to mainstream software projects in the past so why exactly would we want that to happen to Linux. Please all stay on your toddler OS and don't bother us.
