>If God removes all evil from the world he is infringing my free will and the world is just lifeless theatre!
Okay but why doesnt God let me kill everyone with my mind then? I want to do it and I cant because of the laws of nature, why isnt this infringing my free will?
How much evil do you need to add to the world in order for "free will" to exist because obviously theres a limit

Mercy. If I killed someone every time I got angry and "murdered them in my heart" I would have no family. Providentially God doesn't let thought without action have too much weight. I even pushed the big red button of efilism before I became Christian.

So why did he stop his mercy at this? Why didnt he use his mercy to give kids with terminal genetic diseases a chance at being a good christian?
Why does he let some humans be born in the most hellish situations and lets others be born in absolute bliss?

this kid might be a drone without soul, and his existence is simply a reminder to people that life could be shitty

maybe the kid is really enjoying it, but god puts a veil of suffering over others seeing him

maybe the kid suffers and God weeps
maybe the kid finds God and peace regardless

you want an absolute proof of the goodness of God, I simply demonstrate through hyperbole that this is ridiculous because you do not understand the absolute good, so how can you interpret an absolute proof?

            Anonymous

And I’m pointing out that this is a really convenient excuse that every single religion uses to make people pay them money and validate their fantasies. Anyway, if I can’t understand God’s goodness, then why am I blamed for not believing? How is belief a choice? And before I even give you a chance to embarrass yourself with some half-brain cope, the Bible says that faith is literally a gift of God, it is grace, not works. So faith isn’t even my choice and I will go to hell so people like you can look down from heaven and laugh and be glad that you were given enough grace to sing songs for God for eternity or whatever. What a loving God!

            >how is belief a choice
because a requisite to belief in anything is believing in your absolute ability to choose
you might not have absolute knowledge, but you do have absolute ability to choose

you aren't blamed for not believing, but you are on the way to hell, because without the grace of faith you lack the worldview to escape your torturers/devil, Christ is the Narrow Gate, the devil pursues and prowls about.

            >why am I blamed for not believing?
            God doesn't accuse you of not believing, in fact the devil is the one who accuses. But look at it like this;
            >live in the jungle
            >you are a tard who has no idea how to survive in the jungle and you suffer
            >find a piece of paper that says; hey buddy, here is the super epic technique to thrive in the jungle
            >you don't know whether it's true but what the hell!
the jungle isn't evil, you aren't evil, the paper isn't evil, you are merely unable to properly adapt to your environment, and so you sufffer, the path to escape this, is God (and what he represents, Christ (and what he represents).

basically, there's a creature in the jungle that attempts to convince you that the paper you found is terrible and dumb, because he wants you to feast on your weakness, this creature is the modern propaganda machine

in my opinion christianity isn't neccesary to believing in God, but sincere belief in God draws you towards the Christian myth

so to escape your own circle of suffering/pleasure/relief/despondence, you must be willing to follow, like a sheep follows its shepherd

You don’t choose to believe that 2+2=4. Either you believe it or you don’t. And yes you’re right that religion has been a useful survival strategy for humans, but this will come to an end. Needing to rely on ancient fairytales so that you don’t have a nice day from meaninglessness is a weakness. Now that science and the internet are making it harder for people to go along with religion, you see the rise of nihilism because the masses have literally been bred to enjoy life only with absolutes like God and objective morality. They cannot handle the consequences of the theory of evolution, they need a cope or they will die.

            >you don't choose to believe that 2+2=4
math is an incomplete logical system, it can not even properly describe a circle

            >relying on ancient fairytales so that you don't have a nice day from meaninglessness is a weakness
to use the tools to ones disposal is as sign of strength, and this just happens to be a very sharp one, and Christians believe it is the greatest tool and no modern tool can overthrow it's dominance over human life

            >now that science and the internet are making it harder for people to go along with religion
a new disease wipes out a vast population, but there are always survivors, these diseases are indeed destroying life on a massive scale, but some will make it through

            >math is an incomplete logical system, it can not even properly describe a circle
We don’t have to talk about formal mathematics. Two and two make four every time, you can’t make yourself believe otherwise until you somehow experience the contrary. You cannot genuinely believe that if you have two apples, and then I give you two apples, that you will have five.
            > to use the tools to ones disposal is as sign of strength
But to train yourself to rely on external tools is the path to weakness. If our use of those tools had no long-term consequences, then yes, it would be fine, but that’s not how it works. Imagine if the government could somehow guarantee that everyone would have enough money to survive, and even guaranteed that men would live healthy lives, such as by forcing them to exercise, and completely banning harmful substances like drugs and porn. Then you may have a healthy society in the short-term, but over time, the gene pool would be populated with weaklings who only survived because of their culture. As soon as you reintroduce the possibility of people to choose negative behaviors, all of their latent natures will unfold and you will see the laziest, most degenerate society of all time. That’s why homosexuality still propagates, because they repress it and try to marry and have kids. Anyway, this idea that we should be using every tool at our disposal is not wise in the long-term. Of course we also shouldn’t get rid of those tools completely. Society will slowly become less and less religious, it’s only a matter of time. The fact that a few people will commit suicide because life is “meaningless” without God is not proof that we should go back, but that we should keep moving forward. Because one day, it may be impossible to prevent everyone from losing their faith, and when that happens, you better hope that they will be fine without it.

            now you might ask

            >but there are so many religions
            >so much myth
            >so many options
yes, that is true, and many contain great truths
so why follow this one specific religion?

because Christianity is just the right mix between fundamental core beliefs (love, marriage, friendship, truth, to act in the spirit of truth and not merely so in appearance), without actually demanding much of you

the religion basically allows you to form your own worldview, within the framework of God's worldview, which is a honourable one.

            Really, you're basically on the way to heaven if you;
            be truthful
            seek for happiness
            be honourable
believe in marriage, friendship, and the mystical truth of love

Psychopathic murdering thieving homosexuals have more free will than the average person since they are being tempted by more evil desires. This is actually how Christians think. God could have designed all of us to be as good or better than the best human that you’ve ever known. No desires to have gay sex, no desires to do drugs, no desires to kill or rape or torture, etc. All of this is clearly genetic, we can breed dogs to be aggressive (pitbulls) or nice (golden shepherd) but not humans! No, we are all the same but magically use our free will to be different, has nothing to do with biology! We are all perfect (but also fallen, or something). We just have to CHOOSE to be good! Why isn’t there a single Christian that has ever decided to always use his free will to be perfect like Jesus, you ask?? Because… because we’re big stupid meany heads OK?!! But it’s not God’s fault.

Well, god does allow up to have some fun with atomic bombs and chemical weapons tho!
But you are missing the point, whatever you come up with something being "wrong" or "unjust" can be attributed to the fact that you are a dumb human and can't fathom what the creator of the whole fricking universe has in mind, its quite simple really, there is no debate, god did = its perfect, if you think its not its because you don't understand, religion is bullet proof, why do you think we can go to the moon, smash atomic nuclei to probe its insides but it persists? There's literally no argument against it because it didn't originate from reason

    >Me, my, myself, I
Stop with that dumb shit already, if anything of higher power or order exists, there is no such thing as you in reference.

You use your logic and brain power to reason reality without free will existing. But when you live life, you live it as though free will is certain, and if it's certain, you don't use your brain, you live life the best you can and see fit.

What free will? When does the bible ever says humans have free will? Humans have an obligation to be righteous, they are not allowed to do anything other than being righteous and will be punished for not doing so. There's no free will.
