Well, originiated in =/= same area today. Supposedly Europeans firs got the blue eye adaptation in ice-age Balkans (makes sense), but you’d find it most predominant today in the far North because of the retreating shield and northward migration.

However, I have no idea if green eyes originated in Iran. Also, not a single woman in that photo has green eyes. I’m sick of green eye larpers. Having blue eyes, blue eyes with hints of brown, blue eyes which change color in unique lighting conditions (just like all other eyes), or having light brown/hazel eyes DOES NOT mean you have green eyes. They’re super rare.

Also, for reference. This is what true green eyes look like. These particular eyes are “pure green” because there are no notable specks of blue or brown. Very rare. You can still have the true green color with brown or blue specks, it just then doesn’t make it pure green. This is a great example in particular because there’s no exaggerated lighting or color adjustments, some guy just took a photo of his eyes in normal indoor lighting

But having hazel eyes, blue eyes, or blue with brown specks IS NOT GREEN. Just need to stress that. Frickin LARPers.

I assumed it was from CHG. There was a paper from a thread months ago an anon shared about CHG having blue eyes and other light eye colors, but blue eyes in lower frequency than WHG.

Green eyes don't really exist, it's just mixture of hazel and blue eyes that looks sort of green. Actually look at people who claim to have green eyes, there are usually very obvious traces of brown/hazel/blue, it's the white mutt eye.

Green eyes and the color of emerald the same way blue eyes aren’t the color of a blue crayon.

If you put blue eyes into a a picker which can tell you the RGB values it’s not going to be 100% blue and 0% Red and Green. I’m talking about green eyes. White skin is apricot, white hair is light grey, black skin is dark brown.

But the eyes I posted are actual green eyes. I’m not talking about brown and blue eyed homosexuals who claim they have green eyes. Hazel are blue and brown distinctly separate on the eye. Green is an even blend of light brown and blue. There’s no brown or blue visible. It’s green. They do exist

    >If green eyes originated in Neolithic Iran

Do you genuinely and wholeheartedly believe that if something originated in 'Iran' (it didn't exist back then but ok) it couldn't have been the ancestors of modern 'white'(whatever that means) europeans? Blue eyes originated in the Pontic steppe but somehow people on the british isles have blue eyes too!!!!! woooooow!!!!!!!
