I would like a 4K monitor to use in high DPI mode (a.k.a. Retina) for smoother text and vector graphics rendering.

Currently rocking an Asus Zenbook 14X OLED, 2880x1800 at 13". Such a great build laptop considering its size, though mind the heat.

Why? They're miserable people. They're the ones who came up with feminism.

They're a little clever and persuasive but not necessarily competent or intelligent. They have horrible attitudes and are full of vice. Most aren't very attractive but the few who are tend to be propped up on television.

Obviously there are exceptions to this.

If you buy a laptop your max resolution should be 1366x768, anything more and everything will look small and scaling is shit on both Windows and Linux

      Anonymous

i use 14 inch 1080p panel for at least 5 years every day and scaling isn't necessary. i'm also kinda nearsighted.
to me 1080p is the lowest i would go because i like watching movies and shows in full HD, the highest resolution a human being can see

Neither Linux or Windows can handle scaling properly yet. Unless it's a Macbook I WANT 1366x768.

How good is the Ideapad 5?
The Ryzen 5 tempted me, but is a 5500u, so... How good is it?.
Plus, has 8 of ram, and 256 of SSD

there are no good ideapads, only Thinkpads (except the carbon consumer trash)

        >here are no good ideapads
        Qrd?
Know Jack shit about ideapads, and the only Thinkpads i've know are the Thinkcentres, never bothered with laptops because i had a PC, but the old one died and i want to modernize, and i'm seeking some good laptop, and the Ryzen tempted me after all.
The other thing i know is that Dells and HPs have absolute garbage batteries

I kind of regret going for 1920x1200 because the 2560x1600 model was out of stock but at 13" it really doesn't matter that much

High dpi and high resolution make so much more of a difference

I'm fully aware of the difference between the two and it simply does not. Would it be sharper? Yes. Would it be worth it? Not really. 1920x1200 at 13" is already kind of stupid at 100% scaling (no I am not changing that value)
