Usury is lending money with interest.

ahh yeah. you have a loan that you have to pay back more than you borrowed, prob even 3 times more. pay several years, miss a few payments, frick you pay me, house gone. But you "own" the house, don't pay property taxes house gone. they have you by the balls

why throw away 4k a month. you could live in an apartment or much less expensive place and save money and accumulate

Because of time. I will still be able to save and afford a large down payment on a home in 3 years but during those 3 years of aging and time there will be a home with a backyard.

Homeless homie here, I pay $0 in rent and $20/m on car insurance. I get about $800 a month from staking

            Get a job, brother.

Money is meant to be spent, that's the literal purpose of it. That being said, you have to weigh what you get for the money and the benefits of it. Don't worry about the landlord, just consider what benefit you get and whether that's worth the price to you and your situation.

I was making like 40% of what I make now in 2020 and definitely didn't have a down payment. So no super low interest for me. In fact up until about 6 months ago I was making half what I do now. Doubled my income this year. Hopefully in 3 years interest rates will be around 5.5%, that would be good.

The owner of the house is unironically a pajeet working in tech. Mobile dev. I looked him up. He lives in another city though so I'll never see him.

Why didn't you buy it for 250k in 2014 and refinance at 2.5% in 2021? Payment on that house + taxes should only be about $1,100 a month. That's the fair market value.

Well it was built in 2019. Sold for $640k, now worth about $800k.
