You could buy an eighth of a cow for $400.

      that's not so simple
someone needs to sell 1/8 of a cow
you need to be able to transport that - that's not trivial
you need the room where you can process that
you need refrigeration capacity to store what you can't eat
you live is shoe box, so you are unable to do any of that

Cow shares are not uncommon and you usually pay a butcher fee to get it chopped up. It should be around 50-60 lbs of meat total. You should be able to fit this in a freezer

homosexuals who argue about whose preferences are superior are exhausting homosexuals. No one cares what you like or your BBQ reviews.

If what OP got in the picture is everything he got for $300+, then he overpaid. But if the restaurant can get by charging those prices, of course they will and homosexuals like OP and the homosexual I quoted will pay so that they can talk about all of the “best bbq places” they’ve been like the boring homosexuals they are.

That seems overpriced by a factor of x4, compared to what I pay here in Texas.
This is easily enough food for 4 to 6 people, so the effective price per plate should be around 15 to 25 dollars.

You probably got several cans of homosexual beer along with your mediocre bbq, but you live in a town with a bunch of mediocre homosexuals with boring jobs making 6 figures. So it isn’t a big deal to go out and spend $12 for a can of beer and $25 for a serving of brisket.

I go out for a ~$300 meal every Friday (2 adults). Lots of people are way overpaid for what they do, especially if there is a tech sector in your shitty, boring city. Most American cities are full of shitty, boring people who are overpaid. If you’re still not making 6 figures in USA in 2024, you’ve got to make some changes.

    t. Live in a shitty, boring American city and am overpaid. There are 2 places I can think of in my city exactly like OP and all the boring homosexuals drive their pickup trucks there and their mediocre plastic surgery patients of wives accompany them and they drink beer with gay names.

It literally does work like that unless you’re very lazy, low IQ, or both (I consider myself pretty lazy but higher than average IQ). You may not be able to immediately make more money, but anyone who isn’t lazy or low IQ should be able to make more money within 5 years regardless of his current circumstances. I say this because I sincerely doubt anyone’s current circumstances are worse than mine were 5 years ago, so I generally just have contempt for people who just complain instead of taking action.

"The economy" is a large abstract concept which is largely meaningless to an individual person. Either you can figure things out and adapt or you can't. No reason to bring up huge abstract concepts as excuses.

            You should instead say:

In every "econonomic scenario" there have been people who have thrived and those who haven't. Seems like the incompetent people love blaming their incompetence on external factors instead of shutting the frick up and figuring it out.
