Yes investing in Christ will make you see the evils in the world however what you say about fellow Christians isn't true. We are all sinners but to be evil is to live in sin and reject God. Christians are called to pick up their cross and repent of these sins. Also we're not alone at all because Christ is always behind us to pick us up when we fall. Following Christ should make us feel like we're the opposite of alone anon.

If Christians didn't talk to one another, and anyone in general, there wouldn't be Christianity. We were told to love thy neighbour and that's exactly how Christianity has lasted as long as it has. By good, faithful people spreading love and the gospel to others.

Look, that's great, I'm not saying it isn't. But you have a very rosy picture of what kinds of interactions you are likely to have with other Christians, most of whom all hate each other, and themselves if I'm really honest. It is a fact that most Christians view most other Christians as "heretics", and it's sure not a trend to keep quiet about that either. Your have a kind of sweet innocence in your attitude that I even admire, just don't go in unprepared into the viper's nest, so to speak. Be as innocent as a dove, by all means, but also be clever as a viper.

We must take critics seriously, even if their criticism isn't perfectly nice, maybe. He is reflecting the doctrine of salvation by faith as seemingly endorsed by Paul in Romans, and I should know because there's those two guys on /misc/ and /x/ who neglect no opportunity beat me over the head with Romans 1-3.
            >gone to Church
Haha, they'd kick me out of every church. The cross would light aflame and the holy water would boil, practically. I have been inside churches, it's a joke.
            >read the Bible
Yes! Well, not every book, some are quite boring. I do like the Bible as literature, but, see everyone thinks (mistakenly) that "one needs to read the Bible". Why is this so? It's due to 19th century fundamentalism, which has its roots in Luther's "sola scriptura" movement, itself a reaction to those gimmicky sales of knick-knacks with which the Roman Catholic Church financed the construction of "St." Peter's Basilica. And while the Roman Catholic Church didn't let common folk read the Bible, it still held that it was "inerrant scripture" (the term means that it's inerrant as a moral guide, not like some newspaper article: "100% factually correct"). Going back even further, certain books were popular with the "early church", and those got standardized into this "Bible". The problem was that the various books really do contradict each other, and I don't mean in tiny ways where you can pull out one verse against the other, but that they endorse completely contradictory overarching views. Due to all of them being in the "inerrant Bible", nobody's been able to make sense of them ever since and various people come away with completely, completely polar opposite views, but since they all read from the same book, they all refer you to the Bible, while denouncing everyone ELSE who reads from the Bible as a heretic.

            Anonymous

So then why as a non Christian do you say what's best for Christians? We know what's best for us and that's Christ. Also I do agree with some of what you say about the Bible. One must also read the church fathers and saints.

But I don't begrudge anyone for not knowing all of this, I really don't. People want to know "the truth", and the people to whom they reasonably look to tell them the truth themselves don't know it: the blind leading the blind, and they both fall into the pit. Basically every "orthodox" doctrine that you might have heard about is false, they just happen to be, and I say this as an atheist as you understand the term, supernaturally true, meaning they're not true in the ordinary, evidentiary way, all being misunderstandings and failed attempts at reconciling irreconcilable contradictions, but sort of... accidentally true. Even a blind hen find some seed every now and then, I don't know.
Despite the conclusion being accidentally true in a sense, the people preaching them have no business doing so, or at least they shouldn't condemn others for not believing their arguments, since all the justifications they come up with are full of shit.

            Anonymous

Being right really isn't everything. You might be right in the sense that you believe a conclusion that also is correct, but without a way to get there, without evidence, at least don't bully people into "believing because I say so", to respond to James's claim against "the FOOLISH Thomas" in way. This "mandatory belief", and then mandatory belief based on what literally is incorrect proof, which is even worse, does no good for anyone.

are due the kindsa shit he heard from other other preachermen who mean well (let'st just give them the benefit of the doubt, to which the accused is entitled), but who are powerless against the kinds of evils that plague the church, and have done so for many centuries. Concretely, "they" (James) had some beef with Thomas back then and wrote in that shit about "the FOOLISH doubting Thomas, look at that FOOL" into John, to say nothing of Paul with his guilt-complexes, in addition to other things, it doesn't matter, there's always many reasons, and the result was 2 solid millennia of schizophrenia.

Generally, there were multiple gods (or higher beings with similar properties to gods) before Christianity in all religions. Suddently, Jesus came in and started talking about one God. Then Muhammad came and also started about one God. Isn't that suspicious? I think both are fake. They insisted that you shouldn't follow any other god, because there are probably multiple gods like in the original books, but they want you to worship their god. They are fighting over your soul.

I believe in the mathematical universe theory. That God is math, and that math is God. And because math is infinite, there is no death.

I believe the message of Jesus is congruent with this. That to accept Jesus is to surrender to the power of God (math), and once you have surrendered to God (math), you can be at peace with the universe and will have infinite afterlife.
