Fifteen years ago it would've been enough, but as the field gets more and more flooded with graduates, the bar has risen.

Midwits can't code. You need over 115 or under 85 IQ.

Isn't math just rote memorizing theorems and proofs and reproducing them like a moron monkey during academic examination? Have you guys ever came up with anything useful in the last 50 years? Imho even sub 100 IQ is sufficient to learn R or Python even but so many of these geniuses cannot wrap their mind around them and flock to Mathworks crapware for some reason.

            >Isn't math just rote memorizing theorems and proofs
No, and the fact you think that reveals your intelligence was insufficient to actually grasp anything you were being taught in math class.
Rote memorization and regurgitation for the purpose of passing tests is exactly what midwits do.

Midwits also believe in the validity of IQ tests.

If you believe in IQ tests why not believe in self-fulfilling prophecies? Both are concepts from psychology.

In believing that you have too little intelligence based on a test score, you would be conditioning yourself to believe that you cannot have a career in your chosen field. This would cause you to to underperform and then believe that the IQ test was gospel.

Don't be a fricking moron. Do what you want to do. Don't let an IQ test tell you anything.

IQ is a predictor of success, sure, but I would rather have a dedicated 110 iq guy on my team than some 130 fat sperg who I can't work with and who produces incomprehensible shitcode to fluff up his own ego. Most programming is no more mentally challenging than like cabinet building or masonry once you understand the basics.

People with <80IQ are physically unable to answer hypothetical questions
      >How would you feel if you didn’t have lunch today?
      >What do you mean? I HAD lunch today.

      >Every IQ is good enough for just about anything given enough time and effort
Ah, yes, absolutely... reminds me of all those times when we got programmers with around 10 yoe who wrote by far shittier code than many with 3 yoe. If you like to be humiliated on daily basis, go for it.

I have 135 and I'm too dumb to code - the mechanical act of writing code is easy, but the whole shit around it just overloads my brain with decision paralysis.

And what sets him apart from normies, who also invest thousands of hours into shit, is that he actually became knowledgeable in his specific specialization.

If you have above average IQ, which 110 is above average. Then you just have to put in the work to get better and you'll achieve it.

Most prosperous people i know are around IQ100. They are just very easygoing and make friends fast. They love fricking working. So yeah even if your IQ is exceptional you will achieve nothing without willpower or with enemies at your back.
